The Mixtapes
& Two Screws Loose
To celebrate the 1st official day of winter 2019, we're hosting a concert featuring the Mixtapes plus opening band Two Screws Loose. It will be a night full of amazing music, great drinks, and the type of party you can only find at our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & restaurant. 

The Mixtapes are a high-energy party all on their own. Their musical lineup is loaded with a huge range of music spanning the 90s including tunes from No Doubt, Third Eye Blind, Britney Spears, Nine Inch Nails, The Cranberries, Blink 182, Ricky Martin, Spice Girls, Nirvana, and more. Basically, if you loved it from the 90s there’s a good chance you’ll hear it during their show! Come relive some 90s nostalgia with The Mixtapes!

Opening the show will be Two Screws Loose. This will be their first time performing at Dog Days and we know you're going to love them. After all, only the best live music makes it to the Dog Days stage!

Mardi Gras Pub Crawl Pre-Party with
Machine Gun Symphony 
The Mardi Gras Pub Crawl is one of the best annual events at the Lake of the Ozarks. Just because we're closed for the season in February, that doesn't mean we're going to miss out on the excitement! For that very reason, on the Friday before the pub crawl, Dog Days Bar & Grill is hosting a pre-party with one of our favorite bands - Machine Gun Symphony! 

This face-melting 80s metal tribute band will have you thinking you traveled back in time! Exploding on stage amid a flurry of hairspray and screeching guitars, Machine Gun Symphony is not your typical cover band. They bring back an era where excess is a way of life and these musicians masterfully pay homage to the bands that created music to define a generation. Get ready to hear many of your favorites from Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, AC/DC, Poison, Guns 'N' Roses, and a whole lot more. 

After we get your weekend started, head on out for the 2020 Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl on Saturday, February 8 beginning at 4:00pm. (That gives you plenty of time to sleep in after partying at our awesome event the night before!)

Tacos & Nachos That Will WOW Your Taste Buds

Among the long list of irresistible delicacies on the menu at our waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks, our gourmet tacos and signature nachos are extremely popular with diners. You'll find classic ingredients in these dishes but you will also find quite a few ingredients and recipes unique to Dog Days Bar & Grill. If you're in the mood for something familiar yet slightly different, one of these tasty options might be exactly what you need! 

Gourmet Tacos
We've got five fantastic types of tacos for you to choose from on the menu. Each order is served with natural cut fries or you may upgrade to one of our signature side dishes. Salsa and sour cream are available upon request.  

Spicy Beef Tacos
Ground beef, shredded lettuce, cheddar jack cheese, pico, and roasted tomato and jalapeno ranch. 

Steak Tacos
Blackened tender tips with our Southern spices, cheddar jack cheese, pico, roasted tomato, and jalapeno cream and cabbage in two flour tortillas. 

Jerk Chicken Tacos
Diced chicken smoked with island spices, cabbage, peppadews, sweet corn, and sweet and spicy jerk sauce. 

Blackened Mahi Tacos
Mahi filets seared in our Southern spices with crisp cabbage and pico in two flour tortillas drizzled in roasted tomato and jalapeno cream.

Asian Shrimp Tacos
Sauteed teriyaki shrimp, crisp cabbage, pico, and shredded pepper jack cheese.

Signature Nachos
Four of the nacho plates at Dog Days Bar & Brill begin with a bed of corn tortilla chips and chile con queso, plus salsa and sour cream served on the side. Beyond that, each one is deliciously different. The fifth type is even more unique in a very flavorful way. 

Spicy Beef Nachos
Seasoned ground beef, pico, jalapenos, cheddar jack cheese, shredded lettuce, and roasted tomato jalapeno cream sauce. 

Jerk Chicken Nachos
Smoked jerk chicken breast, pico, jalapenos, cheddar jack cheese, shredded lettuce, and roasted jalapeno cream sauce. 

BBQ Pork Nachos
Slow-smoked pulled pork, jalapenos, pickles, and bourbon BBQ.

Seafood Nachos
Crab, shrimp, scallops, Cajun sauce, diced tomato, peppadews, and jalapenos.

Tuna Poke Nachos
Chilled yellowfin tuna tossed with sweetened soy-ginger sauce, diced mango, wakame, pickled ginger, wasabi cream, and sesame seeds on top of fried wontons. 

Any one of those delicious dishes pairs nicely with an ice-cold Corona or one of our masterfully mixed margaritas. You've still got plenty of days left to sit outside and dine lakeside on the deck, but our indoor dining room is cozy and waiting for you when the fall chill gets to be a bit too much.

A Few of Our Favorite Things... From the Menu!

Our waterfront restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks offers an excellent menu of delicious dishes for you to enjoy from spring through fall. You've still got time to get on over to Dog Days Bar & Grill in Osage Beach and order up your favorite foods from our kitchen and maybe even order something new you've been meaning to try. Here's a look at a few of those tasty treats to get your appetite excited! 

Chocolate Volcano
We know it's hard to save room for dessert, so we're starting the list with this irresistible treat instead of waiting until the end. (There's no reason why you can't eat dessert before your main meal!) 

Chocolate ice cream is paired with warm, gooey brownie bites, fudge sauce, and whipped cream. It's big enough to share, so bring a few friends to help you out if you're worried about it being too big to finish yourself.  

Crab Legs
Sweet, succulent snow crab legs boiled in our savory southern spices and served with lemon and garlic butter. We sell them by the pound (2 clusters per pound) but you're welcome to order more than just 1 pound!

Tuna Poke Nachos
Yes, we said nachos! For this delicious dish, we use chilled yellowfin tuna tossed with sweetened soy-ginger sauce plus diced mango, wakame, pickled ginger, wasabi cream, and sesame seeds on top of fried wontons. 

If you're in the mood for more of a classic nacho, we offer Spicy Beef, Seafood, Jerk Chicken, and BBQ Pork plus a variety of wonderful toppings on tortilla chips too. 

The Ozark Signature Burger
Our best beef patty topped with bourbon BBQ sauce, shoulder pepper bacon, and sharp cheddar cheese spread on a brioche bun. Fantastic flavors that fit together scrumptiously. 

Gourmet Tacos
Tacos are a very popular food and we've got 5 different mouthwatering varieties that are sure to tickle your taste buds. Fresh, flavorful ingredients are paired with either Jerk Chicken, Asian Shrimp, Blackened Mahi, Spicy Beef, or Steak. 

Dogwood Avocado Club
This above-average sandwich is piled high with irresistible ingredients! These include shaved smoked turkey breast, ham, crisp bacon, green leaf lettuce, sliced tomato, fresh avocado, Swiss and American cheeses, and garlic mayo on wheatberry bread.  

Grilled Chicken Strawberry Spinach Salad
Fruits, vegetables, and perfectly grilled chicken combine to create a salad that pleases all of your taste buds! This particular salad is filled with baby spinach greens, candied pecans, sliced strawberries, cucumbers, fresh grilled chicken breast, garlic croutons, and bleu cheese crumbles and is served with a raspberry vinaigrette. 

Cabo Shrimp Bowl
So much mouthwatering goodness in just one bowl! Grilled shrimp, pickled onions, jalapeno, shoepeg corn, and fresh avocado are served on top of a hearty helping of wild rice and quinoa.

5 Reasons Why Dog Days is Awesome in Autumn

Fall at the Lake of the Ozarks is an incredible time of year. The scenery is simply breathtaking as a backdrop of colorful leaves compliments the relaxing view of the lake. Another bonus is that our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & restaurant is still open for the season. 

That means you can still enjoy everything that you love about Dog Days Bar & Grill before we eventually bring our season to an end. (It's not too late yet!) Here are 5 highlights about what it's like around here right now that you simply cannot pass up.  

Fantastic Fall Menus
Our regular menu is still available to order from, but we're also currently offering a special "Super Bowls" menu. This features football-themed dishes (like the Patty Mahomes Bowl - Go Chiefs!) We also have a spectacular "Fall Cocktails" menu with refreshing seasonal drinks that you are sure to love. Get a more detailed look at each drink and food item here.    

That Amazing Lake View
The ever-changing scenic beauty found all around the lake area in the fall is something everyone should witness. If you thought the panoramic view from our lakeside decks was fantastic throughout the summer, wait until you get a look at it with colorful fall foliage along the shores!  

It's Less Crowded
We still have a lot of people joining us daily for lunch, dinner, and drinks but since the majority of vacationers head to the Lake of the Ozarks in the summer, it's unlikely you'll have to fight through any crowds this time of year. The Fall Harbor Hop is happening this Saturday, October 12, 2019 (and we're a 2-card stop) so that will be busy and exciting. Most of the days around here right now though are perfect for relaxing lakeside and truly enjoying the experience. 

You Can Stay With Us
For everyone living in the lake area, it's no problem to head on over to Dog Days for lunch or dinner. If you're coming from out of town, you may need a place to stay while you're here. Stay with us! Well, in our Lake of the Ozarks luxury vacation house rental located next door to Dog Days, that is.

You can check availability and make a reservation online year-round. (Yes, you can stay here even when the restaurant is closed!) This luxury lake view house has 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and all the comforts of home. The perfect place to stay with the entire family or a great big bunch of friends. 

We're Not Closed Yet!

We're still open around here for at least a few weeks longer, but we are a seasonal restaurant, so at some point, we're going to have to close down for the winter. Not yet though! You can still join us to fill up on all of your favorite Dog Days Bar & Grill food and drinks and create plenty of memories to last until we open back up again next spring! An awesome time is still waiting for you at our waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks. Come and get it!

A Week of Excitement - Bogeys & Beer AND the Fall Harbor Hop!

If someone tries to tell you that the lake area is boring once summer is over, then they're looking for fun in all the wrong places! Coming up very soon at Dog Days Bar & Grill we've got two awesome annual events happening in the very same week! Plus, our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & restaurant, heated pool included, is still open 7 days a week. Fall at the lake is amazing when you know where to go!

Bogeys & Beer Golf Tournament
Thursday, October 10
If you enjoy golf, beer, and spending an entire day outside having the time of your life, then this is the perfect event for you. The money raised goes to some very deserving local organizations too, so you're even helping the community while you have some fun! 

The 20th Annual Bogeys & Beer Benefit Golf Tournament is taking place at The Oaks at Margaritaville in Osage Beach. Registration will begin at 10:00 am with a shotgun start happening at 11:00 am. Tons of prizes are up for grabs, there will be all kinds of tasty drinks to enjoy, and a box lunch is being provided by Mexicali Blues. 

There are 3 levels of team sponsorships available, plus another level for anyone wanting to donate but not necessarily play. (These levels are detailed in the flyer below. Download a registration flyer here. ) Once the tournament is over, everyone will be heading to Dog Days Bar & Grill for an event dinner. There will be some terrific silent and live auction items for you to bid on too. 

Fall Harbor Hop
Saturday, October 12
You'll have Friday to recover from Bogeys & Beer but then it's time to hop on the boat and collect a winning poker hand for the 34th Annual Fall Harbor Hop! In case the concept is new to you, here's how it works. 

A $20 donation made at any of the participating stops allows you to begin "hopping" across the lake from place to place picking up a card at each venue until you have a full hand of seven. (Dog Days Bar & Grill happens to be a 2-card stop, which means you can plan to spend a little extra time here hanging out with us. Be sure to bring your suit because our pools are heated!)

You can find a full list of stops, prizes available, and rules by visiting www.Funlake.com/HarborHop. As long as you have your hand turned in by 7:00 pm that day, you will be in the running for some great prizes. The talented Steven Moore will entertain our crowds during the day and once you're done hopping, be sure to head back to the Dog to dance the night away with DJ Curt.

Stay Next Door to the Dog
If you're coming from out of town, or if you live locally but want to spend the entire weekend right next door to all the action at the Dog with a group of friends, book our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront vacation house rental. Currently, it's free during the two incredible events above, but don't wait too long and miss out! 

This luxury vacation rental has the same breathtaking view that you've seen from Dog Days. There are multiple large windows to enjoy it from plus outdoor decks on both levels. It sleeps up to 18 guests. There are 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and all the comforts of home to enjoy during your stay. There's even a covered boat slip available on the property to park your boat while you're not Harbor Hopping!

Dog Days' Waterfront Vacation Rental - Stay With Us For Fun Fall Events!

There are some fun fall events coming happening all around the lake area over the next couple of months. Our waterfront vacation rental at the Lake of the Ozarks, located right next door to Dog Days Bar & Grill, offers the perfect place for you to stay when you come to town to enjoy those events! 

As an added benefit, the weather is wonderful, the lake view in autumn is spectacular, and our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & restaurant is still open. (Even the heated pools too!) Whether you're planning a friends' getaway or a vacation with the family, our luxury vacation rental has plenty of room for everyone. 

Ideal for Large Groups
This 4,500 square-foot vacation rental sleeps up to 16, has 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and 1 half-bath. Upstairs there is a large living room, kitchen, and master bedroom with a bathroom. The Master Suite has a king-sized bed, double vanity sink, jetted tub, and a double shower.

Downstairs you'll find the other 4 bedrooms plus 2 full bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms offer queen-sized beds. The fourth bedroom is perfect for kids with two bunk beds. There are 2 sleeper sofas as well. Another large living room for entertaining with a pool table will also be found downstairs.

The upstairs and downstairs decks both run the length of the house and are the perfect place to sit back and enjoy the breathtaking view of the main channel. The house is settled on the 19mm and comes with the use of a dock. There is a 14'x38' covered boat slip available on the property. We also provide you with the option to park at the Dog Days customer boat docks.

You'll have all the comforts of home during your stay. The vacation rental property comes with a coffee maker, dishwasher, dishes & utensils, kitchen appliances, washing machine & clothes dryer, linens, towels, an outdoor grill, internet access, and much more.

Our waterfront vacation rental is literally right next door to Dog Days Bar & Grill where you can enjoy, dining, drinking, live music on the weekends, and the best waterfront pools at the Lake of the Ozarks! Our pools are heated, so as long as the weather allows, we'll have them comfortable and ready for you. This location is also centrally located in Osage Beach so all kinds of activities, stores, attractions, and more are just a short drive or boat ride away. 

Great Dates to Book a Stay

This time of year there are lots of fishing tournaments and fall festivals taking place. Many of the seasonal attractions are still open for business as well and you'll run into smaller crowds than you would mid-summer.

We are proud every year to be a part of this annual golf tournament where all of the proceeds benefit many local organizations. It consists of a shotgun start, cash prizes, 18-hole proxies, and silent & live auctions. A box lunch is included plus an awards dinner right here at Dog Days. Oh, and of course, beer! (Among other tasty refreshing adult beverages!)

34th Annual Fall Harbor Hop

Dog Days Bar & Grill will again be one of the many lakeside stops for this popular poker run on the water. As a matter of fact, we happen to be a 2-card stop! (Which makes it extremely convenient to stay here in our rental house!) A $20 donation allows you to collect 7 cards from any of the waterfront stops on the list and prizes are given out when it's over.

New Season - New Menus! Our Special Fall Food & Drink Menus at Dog Days

Autumn officially "falls" on Monday, September 23, 2019. We're bringing it to the menu at our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront restaurant & bar a little earlier than that. This Friday, September 20, come in and be one of the first to get a taste of Dog Days Bar & Grill's newest specialty menus - Super Bowls and Fall Cocktails! 

Super Bowls
Fall and football go hand in hand and the Dog's incredibly talented Chef Kevin McCowan knows how to cook up a mean bowl of delicious flavors. (If you've tried any of the Beach Bowls at Dog Days, you'll know exactly what we're talking about!) We've combined those things in a very tasty way with our "Super Bowls" Fall Specialty Menu. 

Patty Mahomes Bowl
A hot and juicy house-blend burger patty with pepper jack cheese, grilled red onions, sweet and spicy championship BBQ sauce, and smoked pulled pork on toasted sourdough bread with sweet potato fries. 

Seattle Bowl
A half-pound of snow crab served with boiled new potatoes, corn, and shrimp drizzled in garlic butter. 

Cowboy Bowl
Seared whiskey garlic beef tenderloin tips and pickled peppers and onions served with a loaded baked potato. 

Carolina Bowl
Blackened jumbo shrimp on a bed of wilted creamed spinach with feta cheese served with wild rice and quinoa. 

New Orleans Bowl
Deep-fried banana putting bites with banana foster sauce and vanilla ice cream.



Fall Cocktails
You're going to want something to wash those super bowls down with. The fantastic flavors on our Fall Cocktails Specialty Menu are a perfect choice!

Watermelon Limeade
Absolut Lime shaken with watermelon puree and a zero-calorie sour mix makes a tart and refreshing drink perfect to help hang on to the last days of summer. 

Tennessee Honey Mule
Brimming with smooth honey character, a flavorful splash of ginger beer, and a few thousand refreshing bubbles, this crowd-pleasing cocktail is easy to make and fits perfectly with everything fall!

Bananas Firesters
Cinnamon whiskey, banana liqueur, and a touch of butterscotch Schnapps blended with ice cream and banana puree. This is our boozy take on the dessert New Orleans made famous. 

Sex on the Peach
Absolut Peach combined with cranberry and o.j. Sounds simple, tastes great!

BOMB OF THE MONTH:

Screwball Peanut Butter Whiskey and Red Bull Blue Edition. It's like a sack lunch with wings!

BEER OF THE MONTH:
Logboat Snapper
7.2% ABV - 68 IBU
This easy-drinking IPA is loaded up with 4 varieties of American-grown hops and fruity flavors of pear and peach play off of resinous, piney notes. Crystal malt complements the bitterness for a well-balanced IPA.

If you are sad to see summer going away, hopefully this menu gives you a reason to get excited about the arrival of fall. After all, fall at Dog Days Bar & Grill is a wonderful time to enjoy a less-crowded lake experience.
