The Dog Days rental house has 4,500 square feet of lake-view luxury that can sleep up to 16 people. The two stories include 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, a full kitchen, and two decks that both run the length of the house. 

It also comes with the use of a dock, perfect for swimming or lounging lakeside, and there is a 14'x38' covered boat slip available on the property. We called Dog Days for the market price and decided to order carry-out. When we arrived at Dog Days, the lot was packed. I could hear a great 80s band playing upstairs. Because I could not find a place to park, I waited in the car while another woman went to get the food. There was SO much food she had to make two trips! All five of us got food we loved. They did not miss any sauces, condiments, or utensils. I would absolutely eat here again, and would love to stop in when I have more time."

Fight Cool Fall Temperatures with a Little "Heat" from the Dog Days Menu

Here in the lake area, you're never really sure if a fall day is going to be hot or cold. (Welcome to Missouri weather!) This time of year though, even on the warmer days it's bound to get chilly by the evening. As the temperatures begin to drop, you can warm yourself up with some of these fantastic menu items from Dog Days Bar & Grill.

Now, most of these dishes aren't going to put your ability to handle hot and spicy foods to the test. They do have just enough "heat" to give your taste buds a bit of a warm boost though. You know, just enough to give you an amazing meal to enjoy along with our breathtaking fall lake view. (Of course, upon request, the kitchen crew at our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront restaurant & bar can up the heat a bit if you like!) 

Hickory-Smoked Wings
Our wings can be tossed in a variety of sauces with varying degrees of heat. They are slow-smoked and then fried before being tossed in your choice of sauces. (You can also order our perfectly crispy Southern Fried Chicken Tenders tossed in one of these amazing sauces as well!)

The Inferno Burger
This unbelievable pepper dry-rubbed burger has a patty that is chargrilled then topped with ghost pepper cheese, sauteed onions, fresh jalapenos, and hot honey inferno sauce. For a small additional charge, we'll even let you order a side of ice cream to "cool the burn!" 

Buffalo Chicken & Jerk Chicken Nachos
We've got 5 different versions of gourmet nachos at Dog Days, but these 2 types bring a bit of heat along with them. The Buffalo Chicken Nachos have hand-breaded chicken tenders that have been tossed with Buffalo sauce plus diced crisp celery, blue cheese crumbles, and jalapenos. 

The Jerk Chicken Nachos have chicken thighs made with a jerk dry rub plus pico, jalapenos, and shredded lettuce drizzled with a roasted tomato jalapeno cream. Both types of nachos start with a bed of corn tortilla chips, chile con queso, and shredded cheddar jack cheese with a side of salsa and sour cream.  

Ozark Sweet Hot Chicken
Hand-breaded chicken tenders tossed in our house-made hot honey sauce with a trio of melted Provolone, Swiss, and Provel cheeses served on a toasted hoagie. 

Blackened Mahi Tacos
Mahi filets seared in Cajun spices with crisp cabbage, pico, and drizzled in roasted tomato jalapeno cream. If you're not in the mood for seafood, we also serve Blackened Steak Tacos and Jerk Chicken Tacos.  

Like we mentioned above, most of these don't have enough "heat" to make you regret eating them later but rather just enough to warm you up from the inside out in the most delicious way! Irresistible Entrees at Dog Days You Really Need to Taste!

There are a lot of different dishes on the menu at Dog Days Bar & Grill that are perfect for both lunch and dinner, plus quite a few that make a great mid-day or late-night "snack". If you're trying to satisfy that appetite you've been working up all day long when you come to our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront restaurant & bar, then you might want to check out our Signature Entrees and Beach Bowls. 

Exciting Entrees
We offer a couple of hearty, flavorful, mouthwatering entrees at Dog Days Bar & Grill. Each one is served with a garden salad and bread. 

Crab Legs
These sweet, succulent snow crab legs are boiled to perfection in our special blend of southern spices and served by the pound with lemon and drawn butter. This dish also comes with your choice of a side dish. Choices include fries, cottage cheese, wild rice and quinoa, steamed broccoli, applesauce, or slaw.  

Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo
For this incredible dish, we take sauteed broccoli and cavatappi pasta, toss it all in a rich, creamy alfredo sauce, and then top that with a grilled 7-ounce chicken breast and grated parmesan cheese. 

Beautiful Beach Bowls
Not only are our Beach Bowls delicious, but once prepared, they look like a culinary work of art! Each one is served with bread and includes delicious combinations of marinated and grilled meats, sauteed vegetables, fresh fruits, herbs, rice, and more.

Cabo Shrimp Bowl
Grilled shrimp, pickled onions, jalapenos, sweet corn, and fresh avocado served with quinoa.

Chicken Stir Fry
Sauteed red pepper, green pepper, mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, kohlrabi, onion, and garlic tossed in a teriyaki sauce, served with a rice and quinoa blend, and topped with a grilled chicken breast. 

Primavera Bowl
Sauteed kohlrabi, broccoli, carrots, kale, spinach, garlic, butter, and herbs served with quinoa. 

Korean Beef Bowl
Spicy seared beef, broccoli, mushrooms, carrots, Napa cabbage, and scallions in a gochujang demi, served with a wild rice and quinoa blend. 

Maui Fish Bowl
A 6-ounce blackened Mahi filet topped with sauteed peas, carrots, and fresh mango in a coconut curry sauce served with our wild rice and quinoa blend.

Our waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks offers a diverse menu filled with all kinds of differently delicious dishes. There are far too many to list in today's blog, but here are 7 popular items from the Dog Days Bar & Grill menu that will give you a good idea of the fantastic flavors we've got waiting for you. 

Cabo Shrimp Bowl
We've got 5 different Beach Bowls filled with fresh, savory, colorful ingredients that are simply irresistible! One of these is the Cabo Shrimp Bowl, which features grilled shrimp, pickled onions, jalapenos, sweet corn, and fresh avocado served with quinoa. 

The Ozark Burger
You'll find a long list of signature burgers on the menu at the Dog and among these, our homestyle Ozark Burger. The patty is a half-pound of Angus beef topped with sharp cheddar cheese spread, pecan-smoked shoulder bacon, and bourbon BBQ sauce served on a brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles on the side. 

Crab Legs
A pail full of sweet, succulent snow crab legs is a wonderful meal to enjoy sitting lakeside on our dock. We boil our crab legs in a flavorful blend of southern spices and serve them by the pound with lemon and drawn butter. 

Chicken Spinach & Berry Salad
A masterful mix of fruits and veggies plus a few other savory ingredients make up this incredible dinner salad. We take fresh baby spinach and add seasonal berries, candied pecans, garlic croutons, and crumbled feta cheese all topped with a grilled chicken breast. 

Blackened Steak Tacos
We've got 6 different gourmet taco meals to tempt your taste buds here at Dog Days containing varieties of seafood, pork, chicken, and beef. The Blackened Steak Tacos are filled with marinated beef that has been diced and seared in Cajun spices plus Napa cabbage, pico, and shredded cheddar jack cheese all drizzled in roasted tomato jalapeno cream. 

Nachos
The biggest and best nachos at the Lake of the Ozarks come out of the kitchen at Dog Days! Each of the 5 different varieties begins with a bed of corn tortilla chips, chile con queso, and shredded cheddar jack cheese with salsa and sour cream on the side. After that, the toppings vary, including beef, jerk chicken, Buffalo chicken, BBQ pork, or a seafood mix of crab, shrimp, and scallops. 

Chocolate Volcano 
We hope you're used to saving a little room for dessert because this tasty treat should not be missed! Our Chocolate Volcano is piled high with chocolate ice cream, warm gooey brownie bites, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and pecans with a cherry on top. If you don't have enough room for the whole thing, it's a good size to share with the rest of the table!

The Most Savory Sandwiches & Wonderful Wraps at the Lake of the Ozarks

The possibilities for what you can put between two slices of bread are endless, making sandwiches an excellent avenue for a culinary adventure. Here at Dog Days Bar & Grill in Osage Beach, we did have to limit those possibilities slightly, but only so that the sandwich portion of the menu didn't completely overshadow all of the other delicious options. (We have a LOT of mouthwatering menu choices for you to pick from!) 

Today, however, we're focusing on the many savory sandwiches available at our waterfront restaurant & bar at the Lake of the Ozarks. Not a big bread fan? No problem! We've got some wonderful wraps featured below as well.

Pickled Pig

Throughout the season, we like to highlight different sections of the Dog Days Bar & Grill menu to give each one the attention they truly deserve. Today, we're covering a couple of small sections that both feature big flavors! Amazing Appetizers
When you hear "appetizer," small portions may come to mind but that's not the case at Dog Days Bar & Grill! These foods from our "Starters" menu are perfect for sharing with the entire table but if you're eating them alone, you'd better come in hungry! 

Southern Fried Chicken Tenders

Five hand-breaded chicken tenders coated in buttermilk breading then fried to a crispy golden brown. Served with your choice of ranch, BBQ, or honey mustard. Try them dipped in one of our amazing wings sauces for just $1 more. 

Hickory Smoked Wings
Slow-smoked then fried crispy and tossed with one of our incredible sauces, our wings are served with crisp celery and your choice of buttermilk ranch or bleu cheese dressing. As for sauces, choose from:

Avocado Relleno

We take a fresh avocado, cut it in half, hand bread it, and fry it until it's a beautiful golden brown. It's served on a black-eyed pea salsa and topped with sweet and spicy sauteed shrimp all drizzled in a roasted tomato jalapeno cream. Try it "Beach" style and keep the avocado fresh instead of fried. 

Pub Pretzel & Beer Cheese

A giant salted Bavarian pretzel served with our Snapper IPA beer cheese sauce. 

Peel & Eat Shrimp

Your choice of 10 or 20 shrimp served chilled or hot-boiled along with cocktail sauce and fresh lemon. 

Calamari

A half-pound of flash-fried curly calamari filets served with chilled spicy marinara and fresh lemon.

When our talented chefs make a salad, they are not just mindlessly throwing together some lettuce in a bowl with a crouton or two! Our fresh greens are accompanied by a masterful mix of crisp vegetables, flavorful meats, and luscious fruits that pack a gigantic, flavorful punch. 

Each of our salads is served with bread and your choice of dressing. These include Buttermilk Ranch, Bleu Cheese, Honey Mustard, Italian, Balsamic Vinaigrette, Sun-Dried Tomato Vinaigrette, 1000 Island, Asian Ginger Vinaigrette, or Raspberry Vinaigrette.   

Cobb Salad
Crisp mixed greens, fresh avocado, heirloom tomato, bacon, smoked turkey, ham, cucumber, red onion, hard-boiled egg, bleu cheese crumbles, and Provel cheese. 

Chicken Caesar Salad
Fresh chopped romaine tossed with creamy dressing, parmesan cheese, garlic croutons, and topped with a grilled chicken breast. 

Chicken Spinach and Berry Salad
Fresh baby spinach, seasonal berries, candied pecans, garlic croutons, and crumbled feta cheese topped with a grilled chicken breast.
