The Chris Weaver Band LIVE at the Boot Friday, 3/22/19

Yes, the food, the drinks, the lake view, the atmosphere, and the pools (in a few weeks) at Dog Days Bar & Grill are all incredible things that keep bringing people back again and again. One other big draw around here is the fact that we regularly schedule the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks to grace our performance stages. 

This weekend however, we're letting our sister restaurant, Wobbly Boots Roadhouse, steal the show. On Friday, March 22, 2019, a Dog Days' favorite, the Chris Weaver Band, will be taking the stage at the Boot.

Friday Concert at the Boot
The Chris Weaver Band quickly became a favorite around here. In 2017 they rocked our AquaPalooza stage and for 2019 they will be back by popular demand once again for the highly anticipated lakeside concert. 

You don't have to wait until July to dance the night away to the Chris Weaver Band because they are helping us usher in the first weekend of spring 2019 on the Wobbly Boots stage. Friday night, March 22, the show will begin at 10:00 pm and the party will last all night long! 

There will be a $5 cover charge at the door but you're going to get a lot more than $5 worth of entertainment! In case you have not yet had the pleasure of hearing this amazing group before, here's a bit of info about these incredible musicians.    

The Chris Weaver Band
Chris Weaver began life in West Virginia but eventually made his way to Nashville along with his band. They earned a chance to play on two of the best live music stages in Nashville, The Stage on Broadway and The Tin Roof. This Americana/Rock band takes their influences from rock, blues, Motown, and general Americana music. 

The Chris Weaver Band was named as one of the "Top 10 Acts to Follow" in 2013 by Billboard. That same year their song "California High" was used in the soundtrack of the motion picture "A Matter of Time."    

They have traveled all over the country performing for major corporations like Sonic, PETCO, Highmark Health, and PSCU to name just a few. This allowed them to open for lots of popular entertainers such as John Mellencamp, Earth Wind & Fire, Chicago, Heart, and more. 

These fellas have acquired a tremendous following in Brazil too where they cooperated with stars from the sertanejo music scene in that country. This collaboration resulted in a live album and DVD "Live in Brazil."

You can see this amazing band live this Friday, March 22 at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse, then enjoy them again at our waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks this July at AquaPalooza! Old Favorites Are Back at Dog Days Bar & Grill

Last week we gave you a look at Dog Days Bar & Grill's newest specialty menus - McCowan's March Pub Menu & Our Cabin Fever Drinks. Today's blog takes a look at some of the regular menu items at our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront restaurant. There may still be a few additions here and there before we're finished updating it for the 2019 season, but these favorites will definitely be back for your dining enjoyment.

STARTERS
Even though these delicious dishes are on the appetizer menu, we've seen plenty of people make an entire meal out of them! 

Hickory Smoked Wings
Smoked, then fried crispy with your choice of sauce, including:

• Original
• Extra Hot
• Bourbon BBQ
• Teriyaki
• Honey Habanero
• Spicy Garlic
• Chili & Jalapeno Dry Rub

Crab Legs

Boiled in our southern spices, sweet, succulent snow crab legs are served with lemon and garlic butter. 

SIGNATURE BURGERS
Our burgers are big, juicy, and piled high with creatively delicious toppings. Each one is served with curly fries, but you can substitute a signature side if you prefer. Here is a couple of our most popular burgers. 

The Ozark
Our beef patty topped with Bourbon BBQ, shoulder pepper bacon, and sharp cheddar cheese spread on a brioche bun. 

Baja Burger
Beef patty grilled and topped with pepper jack cheese, fresh sliced avocado, pickled jalapenos, and our Baja sauce on a brioche bun. 

SPECIALTY SANDWICHES
These fantastic creations are sure to satisfy even the hungriest appetite. Our sandwiches are served with curly fries or your choice of a signature side may be requested. 

Dogwood Avocado Club
Shaved, smoked turkey breast, ham, crisp bacon, green leaf lettuce, sliced tomato, fresh avocado, Swiss and American cheese, with garlic mayo on wheat berry bread. 

Blackened Mahi Sandwich
Our Southern spiced Mahi filet on a brioche bun served with green leaf lettuce, sliced tomato, onion, lemon, and tartar sauce. 

SALADS
Our salads are full of fresh, savory ingredients and served with garlic bread along with your choice of dressing. 

Asian Tuna Salad
Grilled Ahi tuna, fresh baby greens, pickled beets, radishes, fresh mango, tri-color carrot nest, heirloom tomatoes, peppadew, and cucumbers. 

The Farmers Garden
Fresh greens, heirloom tomatoes, English cucumber, tri-color carrots, corn kernels, red onion, sweet peas, pickled beets, radishes, and garlic croutons. 

BEACH BOWLS
These have been a huge hit ever since they were introduced a couple of seasons ago. All Beach Bowls are served with garlic toast. 

The Vegan Bowl
Sauteed Kohlrabi, brussels sprouts, rainbow carrots, kale, spinach, quinoa, fresh herbs, and garlic. 

Cabo Shrimp Bowl
Grilled shrimp, pickled onions, jalapenos, shoepeg corn, fresh avocado, and a blend of wild rice and quinoa. 

SIGNATURE ENTREES
These hearty meals come with your choice of a side, a salad, and garlic toast. 

12-oz. Ribeye
A 12-oz. certified Angus beef ribeye cooked to your liking. A house topping of our sauteed mushrooms, onions, and bacon in a red wine and garlic reduction can also be added. 

Cali Avocado Tuna
A 6-ounce yellowfin tuna filet seared with lemon, basil, and thyme on rice and served with fresh avocado, lime, seaweed salad, and pickled ginger. 

Dog Days Bar & Grill is putting a few finishing touches on some updates in the kitchens as we write, and we expect to open our doors very soon. (The second we're ready, we'll be letting you all know through our website and on social media!) It won't be long now until you can once again order all of your summertime favorites from the best menu at the Lake of the Ozarks. Check Out McCowan's March Pub Menu & Our Cabin Fever Drinks

We love March. It means St. Patrick's Day is coming, Spring will soon be here, and Dog Days Bar & Grill is opening for another season! We are currently working at the Dog to get your favorite waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks ready for opening day. 

All of the classic menu items you already love will be back, but Chef Kevin McCowan has created a very special March Pub Menu to go along with them. Our creative bartenders are also getting in on the act and have come up with a few refreshing beverages to help you get over that cabin fever feeling winter may have given you.   

McCOWAN'S MARCH PUB MENU
In honor of the many delicious tastes associated with St. Patrick's Day, here are a few Irish delights to help you celebrate the holiday.  

Sourdough Corned Beef Melt
Smoked corned beef, swiss, garlic pickles, creamy horseradish, and stout onions on grilled sourdough bread with fries. 

Irish Corned Beef Bombs
Four crispy wontons filled with garlic, kraut, corned beef, and swiss, served with a spicy mustard sauce. 

Beer Cheese and Pretzels
Pretzel knots with smoked sea salt served with a creamy, stout beer cheese sauce. 

Fish and Chips
Hand-breaded Mahi fried and served with fries, creamy coleslaw, lemon, and tartar sauce.   

CABIN FEVER DRINKS
It's been a long, cold winter (especially lately) so here are some delicious drinks that you'll want to come out of hibernation to enjoy! 

Lite Mango Breeze
Mango vodka mixed with Sprite Zero and a splash of cranberry and OJ. 

Kiss Me I'm Irish
Pucker Up with Cruzan Citrus Rum, DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker, and Lemonade. 

Green Grasshopper
Chill out with ABSOLUT Vodka, DeKuyper Creme de Menthe, and Creme de Cocoa blended with ice cream and garnished with a chocolate swirl. 

Irish Coffee
Warm up with Jameson Irish Whiskey, Brady's Irish Cream, and Farmer Brothers Coffee.

Red Bull Yellow Edition and ABSOLUT Mandrin Vodka topped with a bit of mango puree.

Logboat Bobber Lager
Bobber is an unfiltered lager brewed with inspiration from the pale German lagers. Noble hops provide little bitterness and lend to the crisp finish with a hint of floral notes. Best of luck with the bass fishin'.

2 Exciting Events: Lake Pub Crawl Pre-Party & Opening Day at the Dog

Your favorite waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks is closed this time of year, but that won't keep us from joining in the fun of the Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl weekend! We've got a very special pre-pub crawl concert coming up, plus opening day for Dog Days Bar & Grill won't be too far behind that. 

Pre-Pub Crawl Party
Friday, February 15, 2019
Better make plans to be in town early for the 2019 Lake Pub Crawl, because if you don't then you're going to miss an awesome pre-party at the Dog! We'll be opening the bar, the stage, and the dance floor and throwing a celebration you definitely do not want to miss. 

Tickets for this pre-party are currently available at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse for $10 in advance. On Friday at Dog Days, they'll be $15 at the door. Doors will open at 7:00 pm and at 8:00 pm, we've got two amazing bands taking the stage - The Mixtapes and the Plastics. 

The Plastics
Springfield's newest high-energy party band will not just be making their Dog Days debut, but their first appearance at the Lake of the Ozarks! They masterfully cover a variety of hits from the 2000's, everyone from Eminem, Avril Lavigne, Nelly, Gwen Stefani, and much more. Join us to welcome this awesome new band to the lake in style! 

The Mixtapes
The Mixtapes are regulars to the Dog Days stage, and they always bring in a huge crowd! Every member of this 5-piece group sings, which allows them to cover a huge range of music spanning the Cranberries, Nirvana, No Doubt, Beastie Boys, TLC, Radiohead, Spice Girls, Weezer, Rage Against the Machine, Britney Spears, & Beck... just to name a few! This fantastic bunch of musicians brings the excitement and nostalgia of the 90's to life with a high-energy show that will keep you on the dance floor all night long. 

Lake Pub Crawl at Wobbly Boots 
Saturday, February 16, 2019
You're probably going to need to sleep in after partying all night with us, but when you do get up on Saturday, it's time to start the party once again! The Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl is one of the biggest parties at the Lake of the Ozarks and our sister restaurant, Wobbly Boots Roadhouse, is one of the 16 stops on this year's pub crawl. 

The Boot will have the Boomchux on stage from 4-8 pm, and they will be followed by Vinyl Richy from 8 pm-close. You can pick up your $10 pub crawl wristband at Wobbly Boots, as well as a quick bite to eat in their food tent which will be set up outside the restaurant. We've given you our drinks and incredible music a couple of times over the winter this year, but next month, it's time to bring those back for the 2019 season along with our mouthwatering menu items and eventually, once it warms up, those incredible pools and the swim-up bar. Add Some Excitement to the New Year at the Lake of the Ozarks

A new year means it's time to look ahead and start filling in your 2019 calendar with all kinds of exciting things to do. Since our waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks is known for bringing the excitement, we've come up with a few ideas to get you started. Some of these include heading to Dog Days Bar & Grill after we open back up this spring, but a few of them you can start planning for right away. 

Get Away
A vacation at the Lake of the Ozarks is a definite must on your calendar each year, and if you're lucky, a few of them! For those of you with a home in the lake area, that's easy, but for everyone else, we've got an amazing Lake of the Ozarks vacation rental house right next door to the Dog. 

This luxury waterfront house can house up to 18 people, includes all the comforts of home, and has an incredible lake view plus its own dock on the water. You can check availability on our website and even book your stay online.

In February, you can plan a romantic getaway for Valentine's Day and combine it with a weekend full of fun at the Pub Crawl Pre-Party at Dog Days on February 15 (more info coming for that soon) and the Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl on February 16. Get Your Tickets NOW For a Special December Concert at the Dog!

Yes, Dog Days Bar & Grill is officially closed for the season, but that doesn't mean the fun has at stopped at the Dog. We are opening our waterfront bar for a very special concert event featuring some of the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks and you're invited!

ONE-NIGHT-ONLY
On Saturday, December 8, 2018, we're going to party like it's mid-summer once again! (We will be partying inside, of course, where it's nice and warm.) The bar will be open, as will the dance floor, for an incredible concert featuring headliners Machine Gun Symphony and special guest Zero Zero. 

Tickets are on sale right now at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Osage Beach for $10 each in advance, or you can pick them up Dog Days for $15 each on show night. Doors open at 7 pm when we'll have the bar open for you and the stage open for two incredible bands! 

Machine Gun Symphony
Machine Gun Symphony is a Dog Days Bar & Grill crowd favorite. These talented fellas bring back the era of infamous 80's metal in a way that will keep you out on the dance floor all night long!  

Zero Zero
MGS will be joined by special guests Zero Zero. Get ready to go on a journey back to all of your musical guilty pleasures from the 2000s. They will be performing all of your favorite hits, just minus the eyeliner and skinny jeans.

More December Fun in Osage Beach
Our sister restaurant, Wobbly Boots Roadhouse, not only has tickets for you to our concert event, but you can also pick up your tickets to a very special Bourbon Fireside Dinner at the Boot while you're there too! On Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at 6:30 pm, a 5-course gourmet dinner will be served and a savory bourbon will be paired with each of those courses. The hosting distillery for December's dinner is Buffalo Trace Distillery and Sazerac. More bourbon-pairing dinners are planned to happen throughout the winter.  

Tickets for this delicious event are $125 each and are limited to only 20 seats. A portion of those ticket sales will be donated to the Lake of the Ozarks Idiots Club. This is a wonderful lake area organization that improves the self-esteem of in-need local children by providing basic needs and making it possible for them to participate in school or community activities.

During all of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, give yourself a much-deserved break and have some fun! The concert at Dog Days Bar & Grill on Saturday, December 8 is an evening to let your hair down and dance the night away. Things Are Still Exciting at Dog Days, Even in the Off-Season!

Dog Days Bar & Grill may be closed for a few months, but that doesn't mean that we've stopped planning all kinds of exciting things for you to enjoy right now! Our winter break isn't a vacation, but rather a perfect planning period for all kinds of upcoming fun.  

ONE NIGHT ONLY - Dec. 8, 2018!
On Saturday, December 8, 2018, we're opening our incredible waterfront bar for one very special evening of the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks!  We'll have the bar open for you and the stage open for a Dog Days' crowd favorite, Machine Gun Symphony. These guys bring back the era of infamous 80's metal in a way that will keep you out on the dance floor all night long.

Our sister BBQ restaurant is open year-round, so even though you can't party at the Dog nightly this time of year, the Boot is ready to welcome you with open arms 7 days a week! They have a few awesome events of their own going on now and coming up in the near future too.  

• Gala of Trees
  November 14-17 the 10th Annual Gala of Trees is taking place inside Wobbly Boots Roadhouse. The restaurant is filled with lots of beautifully decorated trees and holiday wreaths available to bid on by silent auction. Proceeds raised will be used to give local families a very happy holiday. 
• Thanksgiving Turkeys
  If you love the taste of hickory-smoked turkey, then order your Thanksgiving turkey from the Boot! They are offering 12-14 pound turkeys for $49.99 or you can bring in a turkey to be smoked for $1 per pound. Call 573-348-2277 to make the arrangements.   
• Live Music
  The incredible Art Bentley will hit the stage at the Boot for Black Friday this year (Friday, Nov.23) at 9 pm. He'll also be back again for New Year's Eve to help everyone ring in the New Year.

The combined culinary talents of Dog Days Bar & Grill, Wobbly Boots Roadhouse, and Shorty Pants Lounge create the Barrett Restaurant Group. Together we offer the best catering at the Lake of the Ozarks for any and every type of special event, large and small. 

You aren't limited to our regular menu items when we cater your event (although you are welcome to request your favorites!) Our chefs will work with you to create a custom menu for your meeting or celebration. Winter Rentals
You can still get that awesome lake view you see from Dog Days when you stay in the best vacation rental house at the Lake of the Ozarks. Located right next door to our restaurant in Osage Beach, this luxury vacation rental is available year-round and can easily house up to 18 people. It's centrally located in the lake area with plenty of room to share with the entire family or a big group of friends.

You can check availability and book online through our website. Shorty Pants Lounge also offers 2 more waterfront vacation house rentals in Osage Beach. These are the Glass House, which sleeps up to 8 and the Red House which can hold up to 16 guests.
