Old Favorites Are Back at Dog Days Bar & Grill

Last week we gave you a look at Dog Days Bar & Grill's newest specialty menus - McCowan's March Pub Menu & Our Cabin Fever Drinks. Today's blog takes a look at some of the regular menu items at our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront restaurant. There may still be a few additions here and there before we're finished updating it for the 2019 season, but these favorites will definitely be back for your dining enjoyment.



STARTERS
Even though these delicious dishes are on the appetizer menu, we've seen plenty of people make an entire meal out of them! 

Hickory Smoked Wings
Smoked, then fried crispy with your choice of sauce, including:
  • Original
  • Extra Hot
  • Bourbon BBQ
  • Teriyaki
  • Honey Habanero
  • Spicy Garlic
  • Chili & Jalapeno Dry Rub

Crab Legs
Boiled in our southern spices, sweet, succulent snow crab legs are served with lemon and garlic butter. 




SIGNATURE BURGERS
Our burgers are big, juicy, and piled high with creatively delicious toppings. Each one is served with curly fries, but you can substitute a signature side if you prefer. Here is a couple of our most popular burgers. 

The Ozark
Our beef patty topped with Bourbon BBQ, shoulder pepper bacon, and sharp cheddar cheese spread on a brioche bun. 

Baja Burger
Beef patty grilled and topped with pepper jack cheese, fresh sliced avocado, pickled jalapenos, and our Baja sauce on a brioche bun. 



SPECIALTY SANDWICHES
These fantastic creations are sure to satisfy even the hungriest appetite. Our sandwiches are served with curly fries or your choice of a signature side may be requested. 

Dogwood Avocado Club
Shaved, smoked turkey breast, ham, crisp bacon, green leaf lettuce, sliced tomato, fresh avocado, Swiss and American cheese, with garlic mayo on wheat berry bread. 

Blackened Mahi Sandwich
Our Southern spiced Mahi filet on a brioche bun served with green leaf lettuce, sliced tomato, onion, lemon, and tartar sauce. 



SALADS
Our salads are full of fresh, savory ingredients and served with garlic bread along with your choice of dressing. 

Asian Tuna Salad
Grilled Ahi tuna, fresh baby greens, pickled beets, radishes, fresh mango, tri-color carrot nest, heirloom tomatoes, peppadew, and cucumbers. 

The Farmers Garden
Fresh greens, heirloom tomatoes, English cucumber, tri-color carrots, corn kernels, red onion, sweet peas, pickled beets, radishes, and garlic croutons. 


BEACH BOWLS
These have been a huge hit ever since they were introduced a couple of seasons ago. All Beach Bowls are served with garlic toast. 

The Vegan Bowl
Sauteed Kohlrabi, brussels sprouts, rainbow carrots, kale, spinach, quinoa, fresh herbs, and garlic. 

Cabo Shrimp Bowl
Grilled shrimp, pickled onions, jalapenos, shoepeg corn, fresh avocado, and a blend of wild rice and quinoa. 



SIGNATURE ENTREES
These hearty meals come with your choice of a side, a salad, and garlic toast. 

12-oz. Ribeye
A 12-oz. certified Angus beef ribeye cooked to your liking. A house topping of our sauteed mushrooms, onions, and bacon in a red wine and garlic reduction can also be added. 

Cali Avocado Tuna
A 6-ounce yellowfin tuna filet seared with lemon, basil, and thyme on rice and served with fresh avocado, lime, seaweed salad, and pickled ginger. 



Dog Days Bar & Grill is putting a few finishing touches on some updates in the kitchens as we write, and we expect to open our doors very soon. (The second we're ready, we'll be letting you all know through our website and on social media!) It won't be long now until you can once again order all of your summertime favorites from the best menu at the Lake of the Ozarks. We're looking forward to enjoying another delicious season with everyone.
