April's Sunny Spring Specials Menu is here!

We're putting another successful March behind us and welcoming April with a brand new Sunny Spring Specials Menu. The best waterfront restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks already has the most delicious food and drinks in the area, and every month we like to treat our awesome customers with a little something extra.

Our monthly special menus allow our kitchen and bar staff to use their creativity to bring the tastes of the season to you. With hints of berries, cucumbers, fresh seafood, and more, Dog Days Bar & Grill's April menu welcomes spring in the tastiest way possible. 


Sunny Spring Food Specials

Spinach Artichoke Dip

Blended with cream cheese and topped with mozzarella cheese, then toasted to a golden brown and served with crisp tortilla chips. 

Spring Chicken Salad

Fresh strawberries, cucumber, Vidalia onion, and feta cheese on a bed of baby spinach topped with grilled chicken breast and balsamic vinaigrette.

Linguine Oscar

Sauteed snow crab, asparagus, roasted red pepper, and spinach in an herbed garlic butter sauce, tossed with linguine pasta and served with garlic bread.

Pan Fried Rainbow Trout

Served with a lemon caper butter, sauteed leeks, mushrooms, and artichoke hearts and roasted red pepper rice. 

Strawberry Rhubarb Cobbler

Served with a warm crumble topping and whipped cream.

Sunny Spring Drink Specials

Spring Beer: Mother's Backyard Cucumber Saison

Light, crisp, golden saison with fresh cucumbers and hints of citrus zest straight out of Springfield, MO.

Mellow Berries

Raspberry rum and Mellow Yellow topped with raspberry liquor. Be careful... this one will sneak up on you!

Cutini

Enjoy this spring flavored martini! Fresh cucumber & mint muddled with crisp cucumber vodka. Shaken, not stirred and garnished with a slice of cucumber.

Lemon Drop Rum-tini

Citrus rum shaken vigorously with fresh lemons, lemonade, and sour mix served in a sugar frosted martini glass.

Strawberry Shortcake

For the strawberry lover, we combine Amaretto with ice cream and strawberry puree and top it with whipped cream. 

Blueberry Vodka and Sugar-Free Red Bull

We didn't come up with a clever name for this one but trust us, it's good.

Dog Days' Spectacular Starters Menu

It's a new season, which means we've beefed up our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront restaurant menu with a few new items to add to all of your favorite dishes. Today, we figured the perfect place to begin exploring this year's Dog Days Bar & Grill menu was with, what else, the "Starters." 

Our appetizer menu is perfect for a snack along with a cocktail, and also for sharing with a few friends before a big meal. Here are the twelve starter dishes that we have for you this year.

Nachos

Corn tortilla chips smothered in chili con queso, pico de gallo, and jalapenos. Served with salsa and sour cream on the side. We can also add your choice of the following meats:

• spicy ground beef
• steak
• jerk chicken
• seafood 

Cheesy Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms

Jumbo mushroom caps packed full of house blend sausage, green onions, and cream cheese. Then we top it with melteed mozzarella and toasted bread crumbs.

Hickory Smoked Wings

We take our award winning smoked wings and toss them in the sauce of your choice. They are served with celery and ranch or bleu cheese dressing. Sauce choices are:

• original
• extra hot
• teriyaki
• spicy garlic
• honey habanero

Chicken Tenders

We hand bread and fry five chicken tenders. Then serve them with your choice of dipping sauce. For extra flavor, try them tossed in one of our tasty wing sauces!

Crab Rangoon

A delicious blend of crab meat,m cream cheese, and herbs stuffed in 6 crispy wonton skins. Served with a sweet and sour mango dipping sauce. 

Fried Pickles

An Ozark favorite! Hand breaded garlic pickles slices fried golden brown and served with jalapeno ranch dressing.

Crab Legs

Boiled in our secret spices, sweet, succulent snow crab legs served with lemon and drawn butter.

Thai Tuna Tacos

This is our Ahi Tuna diced and served chilled, tossed in our Thai chile sauce and sweetened soy on top of crisp wonton chips, fresh mango, wakame, and pickled ginger, all drizzled in a roasted red pepper puree. 

Bacon Wrapped Meatballs

Our house blend sausage wrapped with smoky bacon, then tossed in cheddar and bourbon BBQ sauce. Served with garlic bread.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

This zesty and creamy dip features the great taste of buffalo chicken wings without all the mess! Topped with melted mozzarella cheese and served with corn tortilla chips. 

Asian Ahi Tuna

A fresh Ahi tuna filet seared and served chilled with fresh slaw, Asian ginger sauce, and spicy wasabi.

Quesadilla

A large crispy flour tortilla with a blend of cheddar jack cheese, black beans, black olives, and pico de gallo melted together. Served with salsa and sour cream on the side. If you would like to add meat, your choices are:

• blackened steak
• jerk chicken
• shrimp

7 Reasons to Enjoy Spring at Dog Days

Spring finally makes its official debut this Sunday, March 20. Dog Days Bar & Grill opened last Friday, and boy, did we miss seeing you guys! The memory of our amazing waterfront restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks is probably enough to bring you back, but even so, we've come up with 7 reasons why you should definitely make your way over to Dog Days this spring. 

Lakeside Dining

At Dog Days Bar & Grill, the view while you are dining is as amazing as the delicious food we serve every day. There is lots of seating available by the water's edge, and you're even welcome to bring your four-legged friends along to enjoy the day.

You don't even have to worry if spring showers threaten a nice day. We've got more seating inside our smoke-free dining room, as well as a great big covered deck next to the tiki bar.  

MDA In-Water Boat Show

We host some of the best annual events at the Lake of the Ozarks. Our first big one for the season will be the MDA In-Water Boat Show April 15-17. This is your chance to see the newest models available from local boat dealers of: sports boats, pontoon boats, PWC's, and much more. There are always lots of vendors set up to clue you in on all of the new and exciting developments in the boating world too. 

Spring Harbor Hop

The 19th annual Spring Harbor Hop will take place on Saturday, May 7, 2016. If you haven't already put your boat in the water this year, it's a great time to start your boating season. Travel between dozens of lake area bars & restaurants by water collecting cards for your poker hand, and maybe even go home with some incredible prizes. 

Canine Cannonball

This popular annual event is taking place June 16-19, right before the first official day of summer, so it just made the cut for exciting spring reasons to visit us. This nationwide event is a favorite at Dog Days. Pets bring their owners along while they compete to see who can jump the highest and the farthest into a great big pool of water. In 2014, Tony Lampert's dog Griz set a World Record for the Outdoor Extreme Vertical Jump at 8'9" at Dog Days Bar & Grill.

Boat & Jet Ski Rentals and Gas

Our docks are home to BomBay Boat Rental Company's full service Osage Beach location. They offer "Better Product, Better Prices, and Better People" in the form of boat and waverunner rentals, and even a gas dock. Enjoy lunch with us, take a watercraft out for the afternoon, then come back for dinner while you listen to some amazing live music.

The Tastes You Missed All Winter

If you spend a lot of time at the Lake of the Ozarks, you've probably been counting down the days until you could get your hands on that popular frozen concoction - the Pain in the A**. In addition to all of your favorite tastes from behind the bar, we know you've been missing our tasty treats from the kitchen too.  

Our most popular dishes are still here, like our Seafood Nachos, Chef's Signature Burgers, and of course, those amazing crab legs. Along with those, you will be thrilled to see a few new additions. Check out our Dog Days menu before you head our way. It going to take a little while to decide!

Specialty Menus

Once again, we'll be featuring a special menu each month to spice up our already incredible menu even more. Right now you can enjoy the dishes and drinks on our "Luck of the Irish" menu. Don't wait too long, because in April it will be gone. Don't worry though, because we'll be replacing it with some incredible "Sunny Spring Specials."

Expect Incredible Things from Dog Days Bar & Grill This Season!

Opening day for the best waterfront restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks is finally here! Dog Days Bar & Grill will be opening up for the season this Friday, March 11, 2016 at 11:00 am. If you've been here before, you can expect a lot more of the awesomeness that you've gotten used to over the years. If Dog Days is new to you, then take a sneak peek at some amazing reasons why you should check us out. 

FANTASTIC FOOD

Our kitchen staff is excited to get back to work creating our delicious Dog Days Bar & Grill menu items. All of your old favorites will be back, including our enticing entrees, chef's signature burgers, specialty sandwiches and wraps, savory salads, gourmet tacos, and our mouth-watering appetizers. In addition to those tasty treats, expect special menus occasionally, like our "Luck of the Irish" menu for March, and our ever-popular Late Nite menu on the weekends.   

DELICIOUS DRINKS

A trip to our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar allows you to enjoy our refreshing frozen concoctions, like a Rum Runner, a Pina Colada, or both in our always popular Pain in the A**. (Don't forget the topper!) We also feature the coldest beer and the best mixed drinks in town. There's nothing better on a hot summer day than a drink from our incredible bartenders.   

AWESOME PARTIES & EVENTS

Dog Days Bar & Grill is home to a few of the best annual events at the Lake of the Ozarks. A few of the ones that you can start looking forward to are the White Party, our Bogeys & Beer Golf Tournament, numerous poker runs on the water, and Bikefest, which gets bigger and better every year. We'll have more information on all of these as it becomes available. Right now, mark your calendars for the already scheduled following special events.

March Munchies at Dog Days

The doors to your favorite waterfront restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks will be open and ready to welcome everyone back on Friday, March 11, 2016. Along with many of your old Dog Days Bar & Grill favorites, we'll be offering a special "Luck of the Irish March Munchies" menu. 

The lake area begins waking up and getting ready for a brand new season every year right around St. Patrick's Day. The parades on both land and water March 12 will get everyone excited about the great spring and amazing summer that's ahead. Dog Days Bar & Grill will be joining in on all the fun with our opening weekend festivities and the delicious items on our special March menu, plus some incredible Irish drinks in honor of the holiday.

Luck of the Irish

March Munchies

Smoked Corned Beef and Cabbage
Served with boiled potatoes and baby carrots served with toasted rye bread.

Bangers and Mash
Smoked Sausage served with garlic redskin mashed. Then it is topped with a sweet onion and Schlafly gravy.

Schlafly Beef Stew
A hearty broth full of carrots, onions, celery, leeks and herbs, served over garlic redskin mashed potatoes.

Pretzels
Served with an Irish Stout and smoked Gouda cheese sauce.

Irish Smash
House sausage patty topped with cheddar and stout mustard smashed between a pretzel bun with choice of side.

Irish Corned Beef Bombs
Smoked corned beef and cabbage in a crisp won ton fried golden brown and served with a Schlafly smoked Gouda cheese sauce and stout mustard.
