The Log Jam
Our holiday weekend Log Jams have become a much anticipated annual event here at Dog Days Bar & Grill. We team up with some great people from Columbia, MO - The Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival, Logboat Brewing Co., and 102.3 BXR - to bring you an afternoon filled with amazing live music, cool giveaways, tasty brews, and an even-more-exciting-than-usual Saturday at the Dog!
The Log Jam will be happening on Saturday, July 7, 2018, from 1-5 pm, but don't tucker yourself out too early. We've got even more amazing live music planned for you well into the evening too. Our holiday weekend isn't going to end until we close for the night on Sunday!
The Music
Our very special guest for the Independence Day Log Jam is the unbelievable King Benny. King Benny is a blues/rock based band out of a small town by the Mississippi River called Louisiana, MO. Their sound is a mixture of several genres and has pulled influence from many different artists such as The Allman Brothers Band, Freddie King, Son House, Muddy Waters, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and John Hiatt.
These talented gentlemen have made waves all across the Midwest blues scene playing several clubs and festivals, including the upcoming Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival this fall. They also get plenty of airplay in major radio markets with their original music. You are going to want to get to the Log Jam early so you don't miss a moment of their performance!
As we mentioned above, once King Benny is done and the Log Jam wraps up, we've got even more of the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks hitting the Dog Days stage in the evening! The Baub Eis Band will play from 6-10 pm, followed by the Mixtapes from 10 pm-close. These amazing performers will have you dancing all day and all night long!

The Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival
Next fall, just a short drive from the Lake of the Ozarks, the RNBNBBQ Festival will host its 12th annual event in Columbia, MO. It will be happening September 23-30, 2018, at Stephens Lake Park. Three separate stages will be set up, each hosting 2 days worth of uninterrupted music from international, national, regional, and local artists. You'll hear a wonderful variety of genres represented; roots, blues, gospel, country, folk, bluegrass, rock, and soul. Also out of Columbia, MO, is the Logboat Brewing Company. They focus on brewing beers they themselves like to drink, which coincidentally happen to be beers that our customers like to drink too! Especially on a hot, summer day in July. They will be bringing many of their unique and flavorful beers to our Log Jam so that you can experience them for yourself. They feature 4 core beers (Bobber, Dark Matter, Shiphead, Mamoot, Snapper, and Lookout) plus a large variety of seasonal and specialty beers that we know you're going to love.
Dog Days Bar & Grill
Dog Days has been feeding and entertaining the lake area since 1993. With a full menu of delicious, fresh dishes and ice-cold, refreshing cocktails, there's something for every taste. Last year we expanded to add the best pools at the Lake of the Ozarks, one of which has a great big swim-up bar attached to it, plus a bigger and better outdoor stage for our many musical acts.
This year we've grown even more with the completion of an additional kitchen and the Wooftop Patio, which features a breathtaking lake view of the main channel. Currently, Log Jam weekend is still available for you to stay in this amazing house within walking distance of Dog Days Bar & Grill, but you better act fast! This 4,500 sq. ft. lakefront house can sleep up to 16 with 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and lots of living space to spread out, relax, and have some fun.
It doesn't matter whether you come by boat or by car, as long as you get here for the Independence Day Log Jam at Dog Days Bar & Grill. It's another event that you're going to be very sad about if you miss it, so don't!
