It's time once again for a great big, excitement-packed Labor Day Weekend at your favorite waterfront bar and restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks. Four amazing days of holiday fun right here at Dog Days Bar & Grill. Delicious Food & Drinks

Our kitchen turns out the most delicious food on a daily basis, and you can enjoy it at one of our many outdoor tables overlooking the gorgeous lake, or in our indoor, air-conditioned, smoke-free dining room. 

No matter what your level of hunger, we've got you covered. If you only need a quick bite to keep your energy going, our appetizers are just the thing. There is a wide variety of salads and wraps for a light lunch, we've got mouth-watering Chef's Signature Burgers, and if you want a hearty dinner, you'll find savory items like Crab Legs and our juicy Ribeye Steak on the entree menu. 

Our Kids' Menu is sure to please even the pickiest of eaters, and our Late Night Menu will keep you fed (and fed well) even if you come in after most kitchens have shut down for the night. On weekends and holidays, we keep our kitchen open until midnight for you! Add one (or a few) of our tasty cocktails to that and you'll be all set up for a fantastic experience.

You Deserve a Drink! How About One of Our Delicious Cocktails?

Our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront restaurant creates mouth-watering food dishes to please your taste buds. When you order one of our incredible cocktails to wash those down with, your entire meal is elevated to an awesome new level! Below you will find a sampling of the unbelievable drinks we have for you at Dog Days Bar & Grill. 

Frozen Concoctions (& Toppers!)

A summer day (or night) at the Lake of the Ozarks simply isn't complete without a delicious frozen cocktail. If you're really up for an amazing drink, you will want to add a topper too! 

In case you're unfamiliar with the term, a topper is a "test tube" filled with an additional liquor of your choice. Extra kick and bonus flavor! We have numerous options when it comes to our frozen treats, but here are a few of the most popular. 

-Rum Runner
This Lake classic combines a multitude of tropical flavors with light rum for a frosty, refreshing blend. 

-Pain in the A**
You shouldn't visit the Lake of the Ozarks without giving this incredible drink a try. It combines the best of both worlds - our popular Rum Runner and the classic Pina Colada - for a flavor you won't be able to get enough of. 

-Banana Cabana
This one will make you chase your tail! Seriously! A frozen treat of banana, pina colada, Kamora coffee liqueur, and Cruzan Black Strap Rum. 

The Dog List

We boast three fully stocked bars, so we can make just about anything that your heart desires. Here are a few of our own specialty cocktails that may be your new favorite.

-Mojito
The perfect summertime drink for lounging lakeside. We use light rum, club soda, lime juice, and fresh mint.

-Blue Lizard
A wonderful blend of citrus rum, blue curacao, sour mix, and lemon-lime soda. 

-Dog Daddy Caddy
Sauza Hornitos Reposado tequila, DeKuyper 03 premium orange liqueur, Grand Marnier, and sour mix all masterfully combined and shaken over ice.  

Skinny Drinks

If you want a delicious cocktail but prefer to skip as many calories as possible, one of our Skinny Drinks is exactly what you need. Here are a couple for you to look over, but there are many more where these came from. We can also make many of our regular cocktails "skinny" by substituting Red Bull Sugarfree or zero-calorie lemon-lime soda. 

-Mango Tango
Mango rum gets a splash of orange juice plus zero-calorie lemon-lime soda. 

-Paloma
Simple ingredients, but big flavor! We mix Sauza Hornitos Lime Shot tequila and San Pellegrino Pompelmo. 

-Skinny Dog 
Refreshing blueberry vodka is combined with Red Bull Sugarfree and a splash of cranberry juice.  

Shots & Bombs

When the party really gets going, the shots always seem to begin flowing. They are great for toasting anything you happen to be celebrating too. Why not try a couple of these next time...

-Bomb Pop
raspberry rum, blue curacao, sour, & lemon-lime soda

-Chocolate Pretzel
Pinnacle whipped cream vodka & hazelnut liqueur

-Misdemeanor
Canadian Club whisky & butterscotch Schnapps  

Specialty Menu:
Dog Days of Summer Drink List

Throughout the season we offer different specialty menus that feature limited-time food and drink menu items. We are currently featuring our "Dog Days of Summer" menu, with food such as Peach Habanero Baby Back Ribs and the Comanche Bison Burger. Here are a couple of the specialty drinks to go along with those.

-Frozen Hurricane
Your choice of Southern Comfort or Cruzan rum blended with hurricane mix, which includes passion fruit puree, lime juice, and dark cherries for a full fruit punch flavor that will have you saying, "Laissez les bon temps rouler!" ("Let the good times roll!")

-Mellow Berries
Raspberry rum and Mellow Yellow topped with raspberry liquor. Sounds harmless but be careful... this one will sneak up on you! 

The talented bartenders at our sister restaurant, Wobbly Boots Roadhouse, will be able to mix up many of these drinks over the winter for you, but there's just something special about sipping a tasty cocktail by the water's edge. There are only a few big weekends left during the season, but there are lots of quieter weekends left to visit the best waterfront bar at the Lake of the Ozarks before we close our doors for the season. (Of course, if you want to get a little rowdy, we certainly won't complain!)

Enjoy the “Dog Days of Summer” Here With Us!

It’s still the “Dog Days of Summer” at the best waterfront restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks! Even though the official Dog Days of Summer ended last week, we decided to keep them going. Dog Days is THE PLACE to enjoy the late summer, and here’s why:

The View

The view from Dog Days Bar & Grill is the best at the Lake. Sit on our decks and patios and watch an amazing array of boats come and go. Enjoy the sunset and just relax. People-watching at Dog Days is also a favorite pastime for our customers. Take in the natural beauty that the best recreational lake in the United States offers.

Our Docks

We have been voted one of the nation’s top 10 performance boating watering holes by Powerboat Magazine, and if you have taken your boat to one of our docks, you know why! We are the perfect place to start, end, or be in the middle of a cruise on the lake. We have plenty of room and we are one of the most centrally located restaurants on the water. 

Our Drinks

Late summer still means frozen drinks, and we have the best around. Enjoy one of our signature cocktails like the “Peach Pick”, “Frozen Hurricane”, or the “Straw-Pomegrino”. We also have the traditional drinks like Margarita’s, Rum Runners, and a full array of liquor and beer sure to quench your thirst and keep you cool.

Late Night Eats at Dog Days Bar & Grill

Its easy to lose track of time when you are out on the boat enjoying an amazing day on the lake. Before you know it, the sun is going down and you realize you're starving! Most places have their kitchens closed down by 10 pm, but not our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront restaurant!

Every Friday & Saturday night, Dog Days Bar & Grill features a Late Night Menu specifically for all of you that need a little extra energy to keep the party going late into the night. Take a look at the delicious dishes we're happy to serve you every weekend from 10 pm - midnight.

Late Night Menu

Nachos
Corn tortilla chips smothered in chili con queso, pico de gallo, and jalapenos and served with salsa and sour cream on the side. We'll even top them with spicy ground beef or jerk chicken if you like.

Fried Pickles
An Ozark Favorite! Hand breaded garlic pickle slices fried golden brown and served with jalapeno ranch dressing. 

Crab Rangoon
A delicious blend of crab meat, cream cheese, and herbs stuffed into 5 crispy wonton skins and served with a sweet and sour mango dipping sauce. 

Bacon-Wrapped Meatballs
Our house blend sausage is wrapped with smoky bacon and tossed in cheddar and bourbon BBQ sauce, served with garlic bread. 

BBQ Bacon Wrapped Meatball Sub
We take a fresh baked hoagie, fill it full of our house made bacon wrapped meatballs, our bourbon BBQ sauce, and melted cheddar jack cheese. 

Texas Fries
A mountain of seasoned curly fries smothered in spicy queso cheese, bacon, green onions, and cheddar jack cheese, plus jalapenos on the side. 

Wobbly Boots Wings
We take our award winning smoked wings and toss them with your choice of sauce: hot, BBQ, teriyaki, or root beer. Yep, root beer!

Pulled Pork
Award sinning Wobbly Boot's hickory-smoked pulled pork on a Kaiser bun.

Tacos
Not just any ol' tacos! We've got 3 varieties to choose from:

• Ground Beef - Seasoned ground chuck topped with cheddar jack cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, and jalapeno lime sauce. 
• Jerk Chicken - Smoked jerk chicken in island spices, topped with crisp cabbage, grilled pineapple, pico de gallo, and served with jalapeno lime sauce.
• BBQ Pork - Smoked pulled pork topped with BBQ sauce, cabbage, pico de gallo, and served with jalapeno lime sauce.

If you're only in the mood for a little nibble, or if you would like to add a side dish to the above menu items, we also serve orders of Curly Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, and Cottage Cheese.

Exciting Events & Awesome Live Music This August at Dog Days

Whether you are looking for the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks or the most exciting annual events, you can be sure you will always find both at Dog Days Bar & Grill. This August you'll experience something similar to our Canine Cannonball, but with a new twist, plus an awesome poker run, and music that will have you out of your seat and on the dance floor. 

Dueling Dogs: August 5-7

You can get all of the necessary details, including the weekend schedule, from last week's Dueling Dogs blog, but in a nutshell, two dogs and their handlers go head-to-head, racing to see who is the quickest. 

The Canine Cannonball is all about distances jumped, but Dueling Dogs is all about speed. A team consisting of one canine and one handler duel against another team by racing down a platform into a body of water. Once the dog hits the water, they must be the first to retrieve the object at the end of the pool.

Warriors Against Melanoma Poker Run: Saturday, August 13

Poker, boating, and the best waterfront bars at the Lake of the Ozarks... what more could you ask for? How about a chance to raise money for a worthy cause? Win-Win! This excellent poker run will take place from 11 am - 6 pm, with an after party starting at 7 pm. 

Warriors Against Melanoma (WAM) is a non-profit organization which is dedicated to educating people about melanoma and raising money to help find effective treatments and eventually a cure for this deadly skin cancer. One person dies every hour, every day in the United States of melanoma. WAM itself was founded by a stage 3 melanoma survivor and is entirely run by volunteers.

There is a $20 donation per hand for each player. At every stop, players will draw one card and receive one fact about skin cancer. If they can produce these facts at the after-party, they will earn a free bonus card for their poker hand. Register at any of the stops, which include:
