The time to shut down Dog Days Bar & Grill for the 2020 season has arrived, but you've still got a few days left to enjoy everything our waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks has to offer! Do whatever you've got to do to get yourself on over here one last time before we close the doors until spring 2021. (Unless a surprise winter concert pops up at some point before then...)
Closing Day 2020 - Saturday, Oct. 31
This Saturday, October 31, will be the last day of Dog Days Bar & Grill's 2020 season. That also happens to be Halloween which is terribly fitting because everything we serve at the Dog is a real treat! There will be no tricks around here that day, just lots of great food, awesome drinks, and fun times being remembered while we make a few more end-of-season memories.
You might want to make plans to come in before Saturday because some of the most popular menu items could possibly run out before that last day. We'll still be opening up at 11:00 am daily for lunch, dinner, and any cravings you happen to get in between the two of those this week. Don't forget to pick up some Dog Days swag from the gift shop while you're here too. Those t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, koozies, and other items make great gifts for the holidays!
Drink & Dine On Your Favorites
Like we mentioned earlier, some of our most popular menu items could be running a bit low by the end of the week, so you might want to come in before then (or better yet, a few times before then) to make sure you get one last chance to order all of your favorites. From crab legs and Beach Bowls to bomb shots and Pain in the A** drinks, we're ready to whip them all up for you all week long.
Winter Vacation Ideas
The lake area is still "awake" throughout the winter, even while Dog Days is in hibernation and still a beautiful place to enjoy some downtime. Whether you're looking to get away from your day-to-day for a bit, visiting family in town for the holidays, celebrating New Year's Eve or coming back for the Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl in February, there's always some reason to plan a vacation to the lake.
When you do, consider staying next door to Dog Days in our luxury waterfront vacation house rental at the Lake of the Ozarks. The house has space for up to 17 guests with 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. You'll have all the comforts of home, plus quite a few wonderful extras that you probably don't get to enjoy every day at home. Call up 16 of your friends, come up with a reason to get away, and book your reservation online today!
Visit Our Sister Restaurants
Another wonderful thing to do in the lake area all year round is to dine on delicious food. Although our Lake of the Ozarks restaurant & bar will be closed for the season after October 31, you can still enjoy our sister restaurants, also located in Osage Beach.
Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina stays open a few weeks longer than the Dog, serving teh best Cajun food at the Lake of the Ozarks through November. They offer waterfront dining with an indoor dining area plus they have a cozy fireplace under a covered deck to fight that fall chill. They specialize in creative Creole cuisine that will make your taste buds think you're actually in New Orleans!
Wobbly Boots Roadhouse offers the best BBQ at the Lake of the Ozarks and this incredible restaurant & bar is open year-round. In addition to award-winning, hickory-smoked BBQ dishes, they also offer specialty sandwiches & wraps, homestyle side dishes, enormous salads, Southern comfort foods, juicy steaks, and a whole lot more. You can also catch all your favorite sports on their 21 TVs and giant projection screen.
Not Goodbye, Just "See You Later!"
As crazy as 2020 turned out to be all around the world, we still managed to make the most of it here at Dog Days Bar & Grill! As tough as it is to say goodbye when a season ends, it always helps to know that we'll all be seeing each other again in just a few months. (Sooner if we run into each other at Shorty Pants or Wobbly Boots!)
Keep yourselves and those around you safe and healthy this winter so maybe things can get "back to normal" by the time we open back up next spring. At least, let's make them a lot closer to the norm than this year was! And this week, be sure to stop by to kick it with us one more time before the party takes a break until next spring.
To keep up with everything happening at the Dog,
