Every single month, all season long, our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & restaurant strives to bring you the most delicious food and drinks plus the best entertainment in the lake area. LOMDA In-Water Boat Shows
Our summer series of weekend in-water boat shows continue through August with even more "water toys" for the big boys & girls to check out! The Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association, along with your friends at Dog Days, welcome local marine dealers to show off their wares at our docks on Saturdays and Sundays.

Calling All Jeep Lovers

Tuesday, August 11

The second Tuesday of every month at the Dog is now the home of a Jeep Invasion! The Lake of the Ozarks Jeep Club will be meeting up and you are all invited to join them. 

It's a chance to get together, mingle, and talk about all things "Jeep!" Park your jeeps lakeside in our lower parking lot and, as an added bonus, everyone bringing their jeep that evening will receive 10% off of their check!

There you have it, another month of the best events at the Lake of the Ozarks to enjoy while you dine lakeside on the most amazing food and refresh yourself with the most delicious drinks! Oh, and don't forget to bring your swimsuit, because those pools are simply irresistible!

Delicious Drinks You've Simply Gotta Try at the Dog!

We talk a lot about the amazing food that is served here at Dog Days Bar & Grill in Osage Beach, but the delicious drinks that our master bartenders are able to mix up deserve some attention too. Our waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks has four fully stocked bars at your service with a wide variety of cocktail and shot possibilities waiting for you! 

There's a big bar inside where the air conditioning is nice and cool plus a fantastic tiki bar overlooking the lake that we lovingly refer to as the "Dog Pound." An awesome swim-up bar can be accessed from dry land and from inside our incredible pool. Last, but certainly not least, the "Woof-top Patio" upstairs has the most amazing vantage point for viewing the main channel of the Lake of the Ozarks. 

Now, if you're looking for something delicious to sip on while you're at the Dog beyond an ice-cold beer or a Pain in the A**, here are some refreshingly tasty new drinks for you to give a try.  

The Dog List
Here are a few creative cocktails that will make you "howl" with delight! 

Blue Lizard
Cruzan Citrus Rum, DeKuyper Blue Curacao, sour mix, and citrus soda

Black Cherry Lemonade
Cruzan Black Cherry Rum and lemonade. Prefer a "Cherry Pop?" Try this rum with cola instead!

Mellow Berries
Cruzan Raspberry Rum, Mellow Yello, and Razzmatazz. 

Pineapple Whip
Pinnacle Whipped Vodka and pineapple juice. This one tastes like it should be served from a roadside stand with a hula girl on top!

Sam Bar Smash
Cruzan Citrus Rum, Cruzan Pineapple Rum, Razzmatazz, and orange juice

Jimmy Appleseed
In honor of Johnny's lesser-known brother, we have Jim Beam Apple and Sprite topped with cranberry juice. Watching your calories? Ask for a Skinny Jimmy and substitute Sprite Zero. 

Skinny Drinks
Since we mentioned "Skinny Jimmy" in the last recipe, here are a few more drink ideas for the calorie-conscious. A great way to quench your thirst and still keep that swimsuit body looking good for lounging in our pool!   

Pink Lemonade
Absolut Vodka, low-calorie sweet & sour, cranberry juice, and Sprite Zero

Mango Tango
Cruzan Mango Rum, orange juice, and Sprite Zero

Skinny Melon
Sauza Hornitos Plata Tequila, DeKuyper Melon Liqueur, zero-calorie margarita mix, and a splash of Sprite Zero

Strawberry Limeade
Cruzan Strawberry Rum, lime juice, Sprite Zero, and strawberry puree

Nada Colada
Cruzan Pineapple, Coconut Rum, and Sprite Zero. It tastes like a Pina Colada but lighter and so refreshing!

Skinny Dip
Cruzan Strawberry and water with a splash of sour 

Margaritas
It's a rare person that can resist a margarita. These varieties make it even harder to say "no thank you." (So don't. Say "yes please" instead!)

A classic Mule drink is delicious already, but if you're feeling adventurous, give one of these amazing ginger beer concoctions a try.

Effen Blood Orange Vodka and ginger beer

Dark & Stormy
The classic cocktail straight from Bermuda! Cruzan Black Strap Rum mixed with lime juice and topped with ginger beer. 

Mexi Mule
Hornitos Plata and ginger beer garnished with a lime. Salude!

Kentucky Peach
The distant cousin of the classic Moscow Mule. Jim Beam Peach Bourbon and ginger beer... YUM! 

Zambule
A tingly take to electrify the taste buds! The Godfather of Zambu approves! Zambu Grapefruit Vodka and ginger beer garnished with lime.

Amazing Appetizers & Savory Salads at Dog Days Bar & Grill

Throughout the season, we like to highlight different sections of the Dog Days Bar & Grill menu to give each one the attention they truly deserve. Today, we're covering a couple of small sections that both feature big flavors! The next time to head on over to our waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks, you may want to give these tasty treats a try. 

Amazing Appetizers
When you hear "appetizer," small portions may come to mind but that's not the case at Dog Days Bar & Grill! These foods from our "Starters" menu are perfect for sharing with the entire table but if you're eating them alone, you'd better come in hungry! 

Southern Fried Chicken Tenders

Five hand-breaded chicken tenders coated in buttermilk breading then fried to a crispy golden brown. Served with your choice of ranch, BBQ, or honey mustard. Try them dipped in one of our amazing wings sauces for just $1 more. 

Hickory Smoked Wings
Slow-smoked then fried crispy and tossed with one of our incredible sauces, our wings are served with crisp celery and your choice of buttermilk ranch or bleu cheese dressing. As for sauces, choose from:

• 13-Pepper Dry Rub

Tuna Poke

Diced Ahi tuna tossed in a sweetened soy-ginger sauce and served with diced mango, wakame, pickled ginger, cucumber, kiwi, wasabi cream, ginger sauce, and toasted sesame seeds. Served with fried wontons

Crab Rangoon

Six fried wontons filled with cream cheese and crab served with a sweet Thai chili sauce.  

Avocado Relleno

We take a fresh avocado, cut it in half, hand bread it, and fry it until it's a beautiful golden brown. It's served on a black-eyed pea salsa and topped with sweet and spicy sauteed shrimp all drizzled in a roasted tomato jalapeno cream. Try it "Beach" style and keep the avocado fresh instead of fried. 

Pub Pretzel & Beer Cheese

A giant salted Bavarian pretzel served with our Snapper IPA beer cheese sauce. 

Peel & Eat Shrimp

Your choice of 10 or 20 shrimp served chilled or hot-boiled along with cocktail sauce and fresh lemon. 

Calamari

A half-pound of flash-fried curly calamari filets served with chilled spicy marinara and fresh lemon. 

Crab Legs

Sweet, succulent snow crab cluster boiled in our southern spices and served with lemon and drawn butter. Sold by the pound at market price. 

Savory Salads
When our talented chefs make a salad, they are not just mindlessly throwing together some lettuce in a bowl with a crouton or two! Our fresh greens are accompanied by a masterful mix of crisp vegetables, flavorful meats, and luscious fruits that pack a gigantic, flavorful punch. 

Each of our salads is served with bread and your choice of dressing. These include Buttermilk Ranch, Bleu Cheese, Honey Mustard, Italian, Balsamic Vinaigrette, Sun-Dried Tomato Vinaigrette, 1000 Island, Asian Ginger Vinaigrette, or Raspberry Vinaigrette.   

Cobb Salad
Crisp mixed greens, fresh avocado, heirloom tomato, bacon, smoked turkey, ham, cucumber, red onion, hard-boiled egg, bleu cheese crumbles, and Provel cheese. 

Chicken Caesar Salad
Fresh chopped romaine tossed with creamy dressing, parmesan cheese, garlic croutons, and topped with a grilled chicken breast. 

Chicken Spinach and Berry Salad
Fresh baby spinach, seasonal berries, candied pecans, garlic croutons, and crumbled feta cheese topped with a grilled chicken breast.

Tons of Fun & Live Music at Dog Days This July

We got the month of July off to an incredible start with the 4th of July weekend celebration that happened here at Dog Days Bar & Grill in Osage Beach. The fantastic food, delicious drinks, chilling in the pool while listening to awesome live music, and tons of fun don't stop there though. As a matter of fact, it's going to keep getting better and better throughout July here at the Dog!

Even though a few of everyone's favorite annual events had to be canceled this season, we're making up for that the best we can until things get better. How, you may ask? With some awesome events new to us this season plus tons of the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks. 

Weekend In-Water Boat Shows
Nearly every weekend this season at our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront restaurant & bar, the Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association (LOMDA) will showcase one of their local marine dealers in the docks at Dog Days. Each weekend you can check out the newest products available and expect to see a few "toys" in the water, ready for you to test drive!
