The Fashion

What exactly will everyone be wearing at this disco party?  Well, the fashions of the time tend to be very attention-getting. Big, bold patterns and bright, sparkly fabrics that reflect like the disco ball you'll be dancing under are perfect.  Dresses heavily covered in shiny sequins or gold lame work well, and bell-bottomed lycra catsuits for the ladies will put you right back in the 70's.  As for the fellas, bring out those polyester suits, and don't bother buttoning up that shirt.  All the cool cats love showing off that chest hair and giant medallions.  Most importantly for both the ladies and the gentlemen - the taller the platform shoe, the better!

The Hair

Hairstyles in the discotheques went one of two ways for women.  It was very popular in the 70's to make your hair as long and super straight as possible.  Headbands were used often.  The other extreme was to go for the great big, feathered curls like Farrah Fawcett sported.  As for the men, go for lots of volume.  If you can pull it off, this is the perfect night for a great big afro.   

The Music

The most funkadelic sounds will be played at our annual disco party.  No wallflowers on a night like this.  You can't help but get up and dance when you hear these classic hits. Dr. Cheese will be spinning these and many, many more all night long.
