It's April... Time For The 2017 LOMDA In-Water Boat Show At Dog Days!

We pride ourselves as hosts to some of the best annual events at the Lake of the Ozarks, and the first big one for this year is right around the corner. It's time to get boating season kicked off with the 2017 LOMDA April In-Water Boat Show right here in the docks at Dog Days Bar & Grill.

This much anticipated event is sponsored by the Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association (LOMDA) The group represents over 50 local marine dealers that come together to bring the newest boats and boating accessories available to you. You get a chance to see and experience them up close and personal. Whether you're simply here to browse or looking to buy, this is definitely the place to be.

There will be vendor booths set up on land and boats and other watercraft in the lake. Get ready to experience the finest yachts, cruisers, fishing boats, ski boats, and pontoons. There will also be some used trade-ins and brokerage boats on hand. As for the additional vendors, they'll be showing off boat lifts, custom-made docks, boat trailers, boat covers, boat motors, and marine electronics, and more.

Good News For You & Kids Harbor
You get the chance to see all of the wonderful water toys coming out this year, and your attendance raises money for an incredible local organization. $1 from every ticket sold will be donated to Kids Harbor. 

This is a child advocacy center serving the Lake of the Ozarks area in central Missouri, which includes 10 counties: Camden, Dent, Hickory, Laclede, Maries, Miller, Morgan, Phelps, Pulaski, and Texas. They assist victims of child abuse, ages 0-18, and their non-offending family members free of charge as they make their way through the difficult and often frightening process of a child abuse investigation.  

Catch A Shuttle
Don't let the renovation at Dog Days Bar & Grill that's underway worry you. There will still be plenty of parking available. Keep your eyes peeled for signs offering shuttles to the event. You can use the designated parking lots to catch a shuttle by land, and there will also be a water shuttle taking visitors between Dog Days and Topsider Bar & Grill. We'll make sure you get to the docks, you just need to make sure that you save the dates and stop by sometime during the event weekend.

Take Your Time & Enjoy
The very best thing about the LOMDA April In-Water Boat Show, in addition to the awesome boats, is the fact that it takes place in the docks of the best waterfront restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks. We'll have our brand new menu available all day long. It's filled with your old favorites, as well as quite a few brand new items you're going to love. You can check out the boat show, stop for a bite to eat, head back down to the boat show, then head back up for a cocktail afterwards, and maybe even dinner.

The 2016 LOMDA In-Water Boat Show at Dog Days

Your favorite Lake of the Ozarks waterfront restaurant is the home of the best annual events at the Lake of the Ozarks. We are ready to kick off the 2016 boating season with the annual LOMDA In Water Boat Show. This year they are boasting, "More boats, more brands, more vendors, and more fun!"

The Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association (LOMDA), which represents over 50 local marine dealers, host this unbelievable boat show every year. You get the chance to see all of the newest boats, as well as boating accessories, up close and personal. Whether you come to the boat show ready to buy, or you simply want to browse all of the new products for 2016, this is the place to be. 

Among the boats that will be sitting in the water at the Dog Days Bar & Grill docks, you will experience the newest models of yachts, cruisers, fishing boats, ski boats, and pontoons. A few used trade-ins and brokerage boats will also be on hand. For those that want to get even closer to the water, there will be PWC's and paddle boats to check out.

In addition to the abundance of boats that will be here, the vendor village will be set up with dealers offering all types of boating accessories and necessities. Boat lifts, custom-made docks, boat trailers, boat covers, boat motors, and marine electronics are a few of the items that will be featured. 

If you happen to see a boat that you absolutely can't pass up, there will be people on site that can assist you with financing and insurance. Even if you aren't buying that day, joining us for the LOMDA In-Water Boat Show is an excellent way to get pumped up and excited for the 2016 boating season.

How Does Harbor Hop Work?

Playing the game is as easy as 1, 2, 3! 

1 - Come to our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront restaurant on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 to submit your donation of $20.00 and pick up your first playing card.

2 - Visit other participating locations (like our sister restaurant, Shorty Pants Lounge!) to pick up additional playing cards until you have built a complete poker hand.

3 - Submit your completed poker hand at your final location by 7:00 PM for a chance to win one of several great prizes!

What Can I Win?

Winners will receive percentages of the total entry donations in the form of gift certificates. It doesn't even matter if you're terrible at poker - prizes will be given for the best AND the worst hands! Here's a quick glance at the chances you have to win:

• 1st Place - 10%
• 2nd Place - 9%
• 3rd Place - 8%
• 4th Place - 7%
• 5th-10th Place - 5% each
• 4 Worst Hands - 4% each
• Random Drawing for 10 Hands - 2% each

The Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association is having the 2013 In Water Boat Show at Dog Days Bar & Grill!! 

The Marine Dealers Association has over 50 Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers the represent many different types of boats, accessories, dock equipment and anything else that promotes Lake Lifestyle!!  This will be the perfect opportunity to check out the newest boat models and visit with representatives in person to answer all your questions. 

This year, the event will be April 19th-21st and will have more dealers, more boats, more brands and more vendors.  It's a great day to get out with family or friends for some fun times at Dog Days Bar & Grill.

Boating Safety at Lake of the Ozarks

Boating at Lake of the Ozarks will deliver one of the best experiences for visitors and residents alike.   Lake Ozark is centrally located in the heart of Missouri runs 92 miles end to end making up 1,100 miles of scenic shoreline.  We love our Lake and we know you do too - so here are some tips on keeping your family and friends safe while enjoying the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks.

1. Be aware of those around you.  
• Drive on the right side of the channel or cove.
• Look before you turn.
• All boats have the responsibility to take whatever action necessary to avoid a collision or accident.
2. Wear a Coast Guard approved life jacket while skiing and while operating a personal watercraft.  Small children or non-swimmers should wear life jackets at all times anywhere near or on the water.
3. Turn your lights on 30 minutes before sunset.
4. Operate your boat at a safe and prudent speed.
5. If your boat has a safety cut-off switch, use it.
6. Upon refueling, check your engine compartment for spillage.  Use your blower to expel fumes.
7. Get your boat inspected.  The Water Patrol and the Coast Guard Auxiliary provide this free of charge.
8. Take a boating safety course (Available through the Water Patrol, the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Power Squadron and online at www.boat-ed.com.)  
9. Consideration should be given to equipping your boat with a marine radio or cell phone.
10. Don't drink and drive.  A designated driver is as important on water as on land.
