Add Some Excitement to the New Year at the Lake of the Ozarks

A new year means it's time to look ahead and start filling in your 2019 calendar with all kinds of exciting things to do. Since our waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks is known for bringing the excitement, we've come up with a few ideas to get you started. Some of these include heading to Dog Days Bar & Grill after we open back up this spring, but a few of them you can start planning for right away.
Get Away
A vacation at the Lake of the Ozarks is a definite must on your calendar each year, and if you're lucky, a few of them! For those of you with a home in the lake area, that's easy, but for everyone else, we've got an amazing Lake of the Ozarks vacation rental house right next door to the Dog.

This luxury waterfront house can house up to 18 people, includes all the comforts of home, and has an incredible lake view plus its own dock on the water. You can check availability on our website and even book your stay online.

There's always something fun to do around the lake, but if you need some incentive, here are dates for some of the most popular annual events. (Fair warning, our vacation rental books up quickly on dates like these!)

Plan a Party
There are all kinds of reasons to celebrate with family and friends throughout the year - birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, and more. Those special events will be a lot easier to plan when you let the best catering at the Lake of the Ozarks take care of the food for you. The Barrett Restaurant Group, made up of Dog Days Bar & Grill, Shorty Pants Lounge, & Wobbly Boots Roadhouse, is available for all of your catering needs all year long. (Yes, even during our "off-season.")

We can easily bring our delicious dishes to you or arrangements can be made to host your gathering at one of our restaurants. Once Dog Days opens for 2019, you can even reserve the Wooftop Patio and impress everyone with that amazing lake view, plus you'll be just a few steps away from that incredible pool and all the rest of the action at the Dog.

Start NOW!
While the important dates listed above are all "can't-miss" events, there are plenty of fun things to do around the lake area in January and February too. For example, our sister restaurant, Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Osage Beach, is hosting another Fireside Whiskey Dinner on Monday, January 28, 2019. It's an evening filled with gourmet food paired with the most incredible whiskeys. Tickets are limited, so be sure to reserve yours soon by calling 573-348-2277

In February, you can plan a romantic getaway for Valentine's Day and combine it with a weekend full of fun at the Pub Crawl Pre-Party at Dog Days on February 15 (more info coming for that soon) and the Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl on February 16. The Lake Pub Crawl features over 30 buses that take you to 16 different bars & restaurants, each of which features live music and all kinds of Mardi Gras excitement for the low price of one $10 wristband. Learn more about that by visiting www.LakePubCrawl.com

Just like we said, Dog Days Bar & Grill always comes through with exciting things to entertain you! The ideas shared today are more than enough to get a good chunk of your 2019 calendar filled in with fun. One very important date missing above is opening day at our waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks, but if you keep an eye on our social media we'll be sure to let you know that one very soon!
