For a LIMITED TIME: The Single Barrel Jack Daniel's Menu

It's time for us to introduce another limited time, mouth-watering special menu  from the makers of the best food at the Lake of the Ozarks.  August has brought along with it the Single Barrel Jack Daniel's Special Menu to Dog Days Bar and Grill.  



Once again, we have have put our creative culinary and mixology skills to work, and created some incredible dishes and delicious drinks to tempt you with.  Here is a little story about how we came up with our ideas this time around. 

The Story


Last April a group of us piled into the catering van and embarked on an adventure to Tennessee. We ventured out as a group in Nashville to see what “Music City” had to offer. After an adventurous evening on Broadway consisting of Honky Tonks, live music galore and an undisclosed number of Jack Daniels cocktails we awoke bright eyed and bushytailed the next morning and piled back into the van Destination: Lynchburg Tennessee and the Jack Daniels Distillery. 

At the Distillery we sampled a number of the 94 proof whiskeys drawn from individual barrels, offering us the opportunity to taste the subtle differences in nose, color and flavor from barrel. You are welcome to take home a souvenir bottle from our gift shop, upgrade your Jack Daniels cocktail to “Single Barrel” or try one of our creations from the bar.


The Food Menu


JACK AND MAPLE SMOKED WINGS 
Our in house smoked jumbo wing, tossed in a peppery Jack Daniel’s and Maple Syrup reduction. Served with ranch or Bleu Cheese.

HONEY JACK PECAN CHICKEN 
Hand breaded chicken breast pan fried, drizzled in our Honey Jack sauce, and topped with candied pecans. Served with steamed broccoli, garlic bread, and a garden salad.

BLACK JACK SALMON 
A 6 oz. salmon filet blackened in a cast iron skillet. Then topped with a candied Jack Daniel’s bacon and blue cheese crumbles. Served with sautéed seasonal vegetables, garlic bread and a garden salad. 

JACK’S CHOP HOUSE STEAK SALAD 
Fresh greens tossed with diced tomato, red onion, corn, red peppers, and black beans, in a Jalapeno Lime Ranch. Topped with blackened beef tender tips seared with Jack Daniel’s. Served with garlic bread. 

SOUTHERN PICKLED PIG 
Our house smoked pulled pork topped with melted cheddar, fried pickles, grilled onions and smothered in our sweet Jack Daniel’s Wobbly sauce all on a Kaiser served with curly fries. 

JACK AND APPLE PIE NACHOS 
Crisp fried tortilla chips with cinnamon and sugar. Then we top it with apples stewed in Jack Daniels and cinnamon, toasted pecans, caramel sauce and whipped cream.

Jack Daniels Single Barrel, sweet and sour mix, triple sec

Jack Daniels Single Barrel, sweet vermouth, bitters 

VELVET ELVIS 
Chambord Raspberry Liqueur, Jack Daniels Single Barrel, Sprite, Sweet and Sour
