The Best Burgers at the Lake of the Ozarks Are Made at Dog Days Bar & Grill!

A quick look through the menu at our waterfront restaurant & bar at the Lake of the Ozarks shows you that we offer a wide variety of different types of food. For example, if you're craving savory seafood, incredible salads, specialty nachos, gourmet tacos, fresh Beach Bowls, or signature entrees, we've got you covered. (And that's not even all of it!) 

Today, however, this blog is focusing on another favorite food from Dog Days Bar & Grill in Osage Beach. Here is a closer look at our Chef's Signature Burgers! (What we believe to the be the best burgers at the Lake of the Ozarks, but we'll let you be the final judge on that.) With generous patties, fresh toppings, and the addition of one of our delicious side dishes, these burgers are each a fully satisfying meal.  

Chef's Signature Burgers
All of the burgers served at Dog Days are made up of a half-pound of quality Angus beef. It's a mixture of 60% chuck, 20% brisket, and 20% short rib which creates a full-flavored, juicy, make-your-mouth-water burger! 

You are welcome to start from scratch and make your own burger creation with the toppings of your choice. First, though, check out the incredible signature burgers that our chef came up with this year. Also, you may upgrade the bun on the following burger creations with a gluten-free bun or a pretzel bun for a small additional charge.

All American
Topped with American cheese, or you can substitute the cheese of your choice. (Listed below) It's served on a brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle on the side. 

The Ozark 
Sharp cheddar cheese spread, pecan-smoked shoulder bacon, and bourbon BBQ sauce served on a brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle on the side. 

The Old Fashion
Two thin quarter-pound beef patties smashed on the griddle and topped with sauteed onions, American cheese, and pickles on a brioche bun. 

Kimchi Burger
Sauteed Kimchi and red onion sandwiched between two quarter-pound patties and topped with Kohlrabi ginger slaw and gouchajang mayo on a pretzel bun. 

Baja Burger
Pepper jack cheese, jalapeno, avocado, and chipotle ranch on a brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle on the side.

Blackened Bacon Bleu
A blackened half-pound burger topped with bacon jam, melted blue cheese crumbles, and crisp bacon on a salt and pepper brioche bun.

The Inferno 
A pepper dry-rubbed burger patty chargrilled and then topped with ghost pepper cheese, sauteed onions, fresh jalapenos, and a hot honey inferno sauce. You may want to add a side of ice cream to cool the burn! 

San Francisco Melt 
Melted cheddar jack cheese, smoked bacon, fresh green leaf lettuce, tomato, and onion with 1000 Island dressing on grilled sourdough bread.

Catch LOMDA's In-Water Boat Shows Every Weekend at Dog Days Bar & Grill

When you hang out at our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & restaurant on the weekends, enjoying delicious food & drinks, chilling in the pool, and listening to incredible live music aren't the only activities to experience this season. Every weekend in June, July, and August this season at Dog Days Bar & Grill, you can also check out some amazing boats and even hop in for a test drive! 

LOMDA's Weekly In-Water Boat Shows
The Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association (LOMDA) has hosted a Spring In-Water Boat Show in the Dog Days docks the past few years. The 2020 event had to be canceled but to make up for that, they're coming back with a different dealer nearly every weekend this season for a smaller version of that awesome event. 

LOMDA is made up of over 40 lake area marine dealers, representing all the top lines of boats, marine accessories, docks, personal watercraft, and everything else to promote fun on our lovely lake. Every weekend, June 6 through August 23, 2020, a different LOMDA member will be showcasing some of their newest products in the Dog Days' docks. (The exceptions being 4th of July Weekend, July 4 & 5, and AquaPalooza Weekend, July 18 & 19. Those dates will not feature a boat show.)

June at the Dog is Packed FULL of Fun & LIve Music

June has arrived and at Dog Days Bar & Grill in Osage Beach! That means a brand new month full of awesome events and spectacular live music taking place at our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & restaurant. Get out those calendars and get ready to fill them up with the awesome happenings going on at the Dog! 

Summer In-Water Boat Shows
Weekends, June 6-August 23
We hated the fact that the Annual LOMDA Spring In-Water Boat Show in the Dog Days' docks had to be canceled this year. To make up for that, the Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association is teaming up with us to bring a series of mini boat shows to our docks every weekend in June, July, and August 2020! (AquaPalooza and the 4th of July weekend are not included in this series.) 

Join many of your favorite Marine Dealers from around the lake area as they showcase some of their newest products right here at the 19MM. Different dealers will be featured each weekend and they'll have some incredible "toys" in the water, ready for you to test drive!  

Lake Jeep Invasion
Tuesday, June 9
The second Tuesday of every month at the Dog is now the home of a Jeep Invasion! The Lake of the Ozarks Jeep Club will be meeting up and you are all invited to join them. Park your jeeps lakeside in our lower parking lot. It's a chance to get together, mingle, and talk about all things "Jeep." As an added bonus, everyone bringing their jeep that evening will receive 10% off of their check.  

Saturday Afternoon Music by the Pool
Below you'll find a list of the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks coming to Dog Days in the evenings throughout June. In addition to that, we've also got incredible entertainment in store for you by the pool every Saturday afternoon, all season long! 

Hanging out poolside from 2:00-6:00 pm on Saturdays is a favorite around here, DJ Curt (aka, Ya Girl's Favorite DJ!) He plays a little bit of everything from A to Z and keeps the excitement high and the entertainment awesome!

Gourmet Tacos
Our menu features six of the best tacos at the Lake of the Ozarks. We believe they're the best because of the fresh ingredients we use to make them and the incredible variety of meats we make them with. You'll believe they're the best because they taste so great! 

Each order consists of 2 flour tortilla tacos and fries, or you may substitute a signature side for an additional charge. Salsa and sour cream are available upon request.

The best pools at the Lake of the Ozarks are open and waiting for you to spend a little time in them. We've got a family-friendly side set apart from the pool with the swim-up bar. That means the kids have a fun area to play in and the grownups can play in an area made especially for them too! 

There are tables in the water and comfy, colorful lounges all around the pool area that will just be begging you to stay awhile and relax. Once you settle in, you're sure to be spending a large chunk of your weekend planted right here!

We all missed a lot of things during quarantine, like hanging out at your favorite Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & restaurant, for example. Also at the top of that list was enjoying live music. Many musicians set up online concerts, which helped tremendously, but we're definitely ready to get back to those live and in-person concerts once again.

This face-melting 80s metal tribute band explodes onto the stage amid a flurry of hairspray and screeching guitars. They brilliantly showcase artists such as Motley Crue, Poison, Bon Jovi, Guns 'n' Roses, and a whole lot more.

Keeping our Memorial Day Weekend party going on Sunday, it's The Mixtapes! They will masterfully and musically move our party into the 90s with a high-energy show full of all of your favorite hits. Each member of this five-piece group sings, allowing them to cover a wide range of songs and artists. Believe us, you won't be able to resist dancing and singing along!

Our next awesome DJ has been performing since the mid-90s playing nightclubs throughout the Midwest. His passion for EDM is evident in the amazing mixes he showcases each set, keeping the crowd out on the dance floor all night long.

The RetroNerds

The RetroNerds are an 80s tribute band from St. Louis. Their specialty is performing the best hits of the era in perfect sync with the original music videos on multiple displays. Oh, and they do that dressed as, you guessed it, nerds! Multiple computers and Ipads control all aspects of the sound, video, and lighting to create a unique musical experience that will blow your mind. 

As you can see, all of the remaining weekends in May at Dog Days Bar & Grill are filled with incredible entertainment to go along with our fantastic lake view and the delicious food and drinks we're known for.

Dine at Dog Days on Our Beach Bowls & Signature Entrees

Dog Days Bar & Grill closed down for just a little while, then re-opened with a limited menu for curbside and dockside pickup. This week, we are thrilled to announce that our dining room and lakeside decks are open and our full menu is back! 

Things might be a little more spread out than usual at our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & restaurant, but slowly things are starting to get back to where they should be! Now that the entire menu is up for grabs again, here's a quick look at some of the delicious dishes you can expect. Today we're featuring our chef's Signature Entrees and amazing Beach Bowls.  

SIGNATURE ENTREES
Each of these amazing meals is served with your choice of a side dish, a garden salad, and bread.

Baked Seafood Pasta
Cavatappi pasta with sauteed jumbo shrimp, crab, and scallops in a spicy parmesan garlic cream sauce topped with a blend of cheese and baked to a golden brown. (does not include side)

Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo
Sauteed broccoli and Cavatappi pasta tossed in a rich creamy alfredo sauce topped with a grilled 7-ounce chicken breast and grated parmesan cheese. (does not include a side) 

Flat Iron
Ten ounces of marinated Angus beef cooked to your liking. As delicious as that is, it's even better when you add our house topping of sauteed bacon, mushrooms, onions, garlic, and red wine reduction. 

Crab Legs
Sweet succulent snow crab legs boiled in our southern spices and served with lemon and drawn butter, sold by the pound. 

BEACH BOWLS
All of our incredible Beach Bowls are served with bread. 

Chicken Stir Fry
Sauteed red pepper, green pepper, mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, kohlrabi, onion, and garlic tossed in a teriyaki sauce served with rice and quinoa blend and topped with a grilled chicken breast. 

Primavera Bowl
Sauteed kohlrabi, broccoli, carrots, kale, spinach, garlic, butter, and herbs served with quinoa.

Cabo Shrimp Bowl
Grilled shrimp, pickled onions, jalapenos, sweet corn, and fresh avocado served with quinoa. 

Korean Beef Bowl
Spicy seared beef, broccoli, mushrooms, carrots, Napa cabbage, and scallions in a gochujang demi served with a wild rice quinoa blend. 

Maui Fish Bowl
A 6-ounce blackened Mahi filet topped with sauteed peas, carrots, and fresh mango in a coconut curry sauce served with a wild rice quinoa blend.

Thai Wing Bowl
Six Asian wings served with fried rice, carrots, scallions, egg, sesame, soy, and oyster sauce.
