5 Reasons You're Going to Love Dog Days This Fall

Fall at the Lake of the Ozarks is a breathtaking time of year to take in all of the scenic beauty as it changes colors. Our waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks is still open this season, and we're located smack dab in the middle of all that gorgeous autumn scenery. That's just the first of many reasons you really need to head on over to Dog Days Bar & Grill before we eventually bring our season to an end. (It's not too late yet!)  

That Amazing View
Like we said, the ever-changing scenic beauty found all around the Lake of the Ozarks in the fall is something everyone should witness. If you thought the panoramic view from our lakeside decks was fantastic throughout the summer, you're going to love its new look with colorful fall foliage along the shores. 

The Woof Top Patio we added this past season offers an eagle-eye view of all that beauty. Also, with fewer boats cruising by than during mid-summer, the water seems to be an even bolder blue.  

Those Delicious Dishes
Our kitchen is still dishing up the best food at the Lake of the Ozarks. All of your favorite menu items from this season are still being served for lunch and dinner 7 days a week beginning at 11 am. You're definitely going to want to eat here as many times as you can before it gets cold enough for us to hang up our hats for the year. Give those taste buds something delicious to remember this winter and look forward to having again next spring. 

It's Not Too Cold for a Pain in the A**
Even if the temperature is actually a little too chilly to enjoy a frozen cocktail outside, we've got that great big comfortable and cozy indoor dining area for you to take advantage of. You're not going to find a Pain in the A** as good as ours this winter (unless you travel someplace tropical) so you'd better enjoy them while you still can. Plus, if you do get a bit cold, we've got some awesome Dog Days sweatshirts in the gift shop you can slip into.  

You Can Stay With Us
For everyone living in the lake area, it's no problem to head on over to the Dog for lunch or dinner. If you're coming from out of town, you may need a place to stay while you're here. Stay with us! Well, in our Lake of the Ozarks vacation house rental located next door to Dog Days, that is.

You can check availability and make a reservation online year-round. This luxury lake view house has 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and all the comforts of home. The perfect place to stay with the entire family or a great big bunch of friends. Best of all, you're right next door to all the action at Dog Days Bar & Grill!

We're going to miss you too, so the more we get to see of you before the end of the season, the better! We'll be sure to keep ourselves busy preparing all kinds of exciting new stuff for you to enjoy next season. Expect mouthwatering new menu items, creative cocktails, the amazing live music, and all kinds of the best annual events at the Lake of the Ozarks. The best way to make it through a winter without the Dog is to dream about how great it's going to be when you can join us again!

Spring Harbor Hop -- Come See Us!!

Who's ready for some much-needed boating, sunshine, awesome food, outstanding drinks, and fun card games?

If you're craving any one (or all!) of these things, your friends at Dog Days Bar & Grill has the cure you've been looking for... Spring Harbor Hop 2015!

How Does Harbor Hop Work?

Playing the game is as easy as 1, 2, 3! 

1 - Come to our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront restaurant on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 to submit your donation of $20.00 and pick up your first playing card.

2 - Visit other participating locations (like our sister restaurant, Shorty Pants Lounge!) to pick up additional playing cards until you have built a complete poker hand.

3 - Submit your completed poker hand at your final location by 7:00 PM for a chance to win one of several great prizes!

What Can I Win?

Winners will receive percentages of the total entry donations in the form of gift certificates. It doesn't even matter if you're terrible at poker - prizes will be given for the best AND the worst hands! Here's a quick glance at the chances you have to win:

• 1st Place - 10%
• 2nd Place - 9%
• 3rd Place - 8%
• 4th Place - 7%
• 5th-10th Place - 5% each
• 4 Worst Hands - 4% each
• Random Drawing for 10 Hands - 2% each

Ties will share the prize money they were allocated. Don't forget that there will also be a section winner for people who draw all seven cards in the same section... Dog Days is located in Section III (along with our sister restaurant Shorty Pants Lounge) so come by and see us!

Full Moon Float-In Parties
Everybody loves sunshine at the Lake of the Ozarks, but when is the last time you got out and enjoyed some moonlight? Grab your best friends and take your boat out to Dog Days for a night you won't soon forget. These float-in parties will take place during every full moon from April-September!

LOMDA In-Water Boat Show
Every April, the Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association hosts their spring in-water boat show at Dog Days. Boating enthusiasts will come from far and wide to preview the new cruisers, performance boats, PWCs, available for the 2015 season... will you be one of them? Mark your calendars now for April 17-19, 2015!

The Canine Cannonball
It's one of the most famous summer events at the Lake of the Ozarks! Animal lovers will gather at Dog Days June 12-14, 2015 for one of the best dog competitions around. Cheer on your favorite dogs as they leap to new heights! Even if your dog isn't competing, remember that he/she is more than welcome to come along for a fun day at the Lake.

28 Support Our Troops Poker Run
Everybody loves poker runs at the Lake of the Ozarks! Join us from June 25-28, 2015 for fun-filled days at the Lake as we raise awareness for the brave men and women who serve our beautiful country.

AquaPalooza
It's the BIGGEST and BEST free concert at the Lake of the Ozarks. Dog Days will be PACKED with boats and people coving out for a fantastic day at the Lake. Last year, we had some of the best 80's cover bands in the Midwest here to perform! Keep watching our website and our social media to learn who the big entertainers will be this year. The date for AquaPalooza is set for July 18, 2015.

Race Pre-Party
The Lake of the Ozarks Shootout is one of the most highly anticipated events at the Lake every year. The race is set for August 22-30. Don't forget to join us on August 21st, 2015 for the race pre-party to kick it all off! It's going to be a night to remember!
