A Silent Disco, Another Pool Party, & Great Live Music This August at Dog Days

This is our final full week of July, and next Wednesday we'll be starting in on a fun-filled August at Dog Days Bar & Grill. In addition to the amazing live music we always have here for you on the weekends at our waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks, we've got a couple of awesome events coming your way too!

Silent Disco
Sunday, August 5
We debuted this incredible party last year, and it was an absolute blast! In case you missed it and have no idea what a Silent Disco is, here are the basics. When you arrive for this evening of dancing and partying, you will be given wireless headphones. All of the music being played that night will be streamed through those headphones, and if you don't have a pair on, then it will just look like a bunch of people dancing to silence!

You don't have to worry about waiting for your favorite music to play, because we'll have 3 different DJs spinning AT THE SAME TIME! One will be playing only Country/Rock, another will play EDM (Electronic Dance Music,) and the last will be playing Top 40/Hip-Hop/Pop music. You can switch between the different streams of music with your headphones at any time that you like.

Each genre of music will have a designated color, and when you're listening to that channel, your headphones will light up with that color so fellow dancers can see just what you're busting a move to. The dance party starts at 9 pm, and there is no cover charge to attend but there will be a small fee for the headphone rental.

Saturday, August 11
When you have the best lakeside pool at the Lake of the Ozarks (complete with a terrific swim-up bar) you simply have to throw the occasional pool party. It would be a wasted opportunity not to! On Saturday, August 11 our regularly awesome pool will be even more exciting with live music, giveaways, prizes, samples, and a lot more. You're welcome to come on by and "swim" any day of the week, but make sure that you mark this party on your calendar now so that you don't miss a moment of this extra-special day at the pool.

Don't Miss Dog Days Bar & Grill's Silent Disco Party - Sunday, July 30

Dog Days Bar & Grill is once again hosting an exciting and unforgettable party especially for you - The Silent Disco at the Lake! Malibu Rum is joining the best bar at the Lake of the Ozarks to bring this unique and awesome event to the lake area this Sunday, July 30 from 9 pm - midnight. Get those dancing shoes ready for a night full of fun!

What is a Silent Disco?
Let's break this down. "Silent" means there is no sound happening. "Disco" is a club or party at which people dance to music. A "Silent Disco" is a great big dance party where it appears that there is no music to anyone watching, but the dancers are actually listening to tunes of their choosing through wireless headphones.

It may look kind of crazy, but it's an absolute blast! This is a fun concept that is being featured at music festivals all over the country, but our party brings this incredible phenomena to the Lake of the Ozarks.

3 DJs - 3 Music Choices
The music streaming through those wireless headphones will be provided by 3 of the lake area's favorite DJs: Willie B, Merf, and Jestin Case. One will be playing Country/Rock, another will be spinning EMD (Electronic Dance Music,) and the third will be all Top 40/Hip-Hop/Pop songs.

Who will be spinning first? No one, because they will all be DJ-ing AT THE SAME TIME! The bluetooth enabled headphones that you will be wearing have a switch that allows you to pick which DJ you can hear. Depending on the channel that you choose, the headphones will light up with that music genre's color. Switch channels and the headphone color will change along with the music. There is no cover charge to attend the party, but there will be a $5 charge for the headphone rental if you'll be joining in on the excitement.

Sound Like Fun?
Of course it does! Our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront restaurant is all abuzz with this upcoming event. Everyone is really excited about the chance to give this amazing type of party a try. In addition to the chance to dance to your favorite genre of music, we'll also have drink specials going on featuring our co-host's product, Malibu Rum. That's a key ingredient in many of our best cocktails.
