June 2019 at Dog Days is Going to be Epic!

With another successful Memorial Day Weekend in the books, it's time to look forward to some of the best live music and annual events at the Lake of the Ozarks coming this June 2019 to Dog Days Bar & Grill. These include our famous White party and the ever-popular Canine Cannonball! Check out the awesome event details below, then get them marked on your calendar so you'll remember to be here. 

15th Annual White Party
Tuesday, June 4
Hopefully, you've got a nice base tan started because it's time to get your best white outfits ready to wear for the party event of the summer - the 15th Annual White Party at the Dog! This fantastic event got its start at our sister restaurant, Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina, but became so popular and grew so large that they passed the torch on to us. 

There's a strictly all-white dress code and you're expected to look your best! We'll be partying out by the pool to the sounds of DJ Vinyl Richy and CEO, and indoors with the talented Taz 1 and Dr. Cheese. 

Canine Cannonball

June 7-9 

This highly anticipated family-fun event is a favorite every year. We set up a big pool down by the lake and dogs, along with their handlers as coaches, compete to see who is the best jumper in 3 different categories - Big Air, Speed Retrieve, and Extreme Vertical. The Dogwood Animal Shelter, a local no-kill shelter, will be here too, just in case you want to adopt a 4-legged family member of your own to take home after the event!

Memorial Day Weekend 2019 at the Lake of the Ozarks is always an exciting weekend to look forward to in the lake area. Especially when you spend a good portion of the holiday right here with us at Dog Days Bar & Grill! Here's a peek at what we're planning for you this year. 

Log Jam at the Lake
Saturday, May 25, 1:00-4:00 pm
Once again for a big holiday weekend, your favorite waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks is teaming up with our good friends from Columbia, MO to host an awesome Memorial Day Weekend party! It will be an afternoon filled with great music, cold beer, and lots of cool giveaways. 

Logboat Brewing Company focuses on brewing beers that they themselves like to drink. They feature 6 core beers (Bobber Lager, Dark Matter Wheat Porter, Shiphead Ginger Wheat, Mamoot Mild Ale, Snapper IPA, and Lookout American Pale Ale) plus many seasonal varieties. You have undoubtedly tried one of the tasty Logboat beers we carry but if you haven't, this weekend will finally be your chance! 

102.3 BXR and the Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival will be bringing their special brand of celebration and some amazing music. The RNBNBBQ Festival takes place annually the fall in Columbia, MO. (This year's dates are September 27-29.) For their event, multiple stages are set up, each hosting uninterrupted music all weekend long. For our Log Jam at the Lake, they'll be bringing a band that represents a portion of the fantastic entertainment they feature each year.

Saturday, May 26
St. Louis' premier dance/rock party cover band goes by the name of McLovin! Combining diverse musical talent, unmatched energetic performances, and a huge variety of songs, they quickly made a name for themselves and are one of the most sought-after party bands in the area. They perform hits spanning from the 50s all the way up to today's most popular songs. With multiple talented singers in their arsenal, we dare you to find a genre of music they can't pull off! 

The Mixtapes
Sunday, May 27
Back again, by popular demand, the Mixtapes are performing a rare Sunday night show especially for you! Their concerts are a high-energy party loaded with a gigantic range of music spanning the 90s. They also feature multiple singers, allowing them to tackle hits from No Doubt, Third Eye Blind, Britney Spears, Nine Inch Nails, The Cranberries, Blink 182, Ricky Martin, Spice Girls, Nirvana, and many more. 

The Food, the Drinks, & the Pools!
There are all kinds of different ways to enjoy Dog Days Bar & Grill. Dining, drinking, dancing, swimming, lounging by the pool, chilling out in the water next to the swim-up bar, meeting exciting new people, and so much more! (We highly suggest trying all of that!) 

We've got the best lakeside pools at the Lake of the Ozarks, one with the swim-up bar we mentioned plus a family-friendly pool the entire family can enjoy. With a menu full of delicious dishes to choose from, you can enjoy both lunch and dinner with us each day over the 3-day weekend and always try something new. A few of our specialties include Crab Legs, Nachos (4 different kinds!) Signature Burgers, Gourmet Tacos, Beach Gowls, and much, much more. 

You can wash down your menu choices with a refreshing drink from 1 of our 4 bars. There's a large one inside, a covered tiki bar in the Dog Pound outside, a swim-up bar that can be enjoyed from both in or out of the pool, and another bar upstairs on our Woof Top Patio. From up there, you'll experience a breathtaking bird's-eye view of the main channel of the Lake of the Ozarks too.  

Things can get a little crazy over a holiday weekend in the lake are, so take extra precautions to keep yourself safe, both on the roadways and on the water. Log Dog Brew & Burger Social on the Woof Top Patio

There is a very special evening coming up very soon at Dog Days Bar & Grill in Osage Beach. It will feature the amazing culinary creations of our very own Chef Kevin McCowan and tasty brews from our good friends at Logboat Brewing Company out of Columbia, MO. We already offer the best food & drinks at the Lake of the Ozarks on our regular menu but on nights like these, we top even ourselves!

On Tuesday, May 21 from 5:30-7:30 pm we'll be hosting this Log Dog Brew & Burger Social on the Woof Top Patio at the Dog. Not only will you get to dine on fantastic food and quench your thirst with incredible beers, but you'll also get to enjoy all of that alongside our magnificent bird's-eye view of the main channel of the Lake of the Ozarks.

Saturday, May 4

22nd Annual Spring Harbor Hop

& DJ Dr. Cheese

On Saturday, May 4, we'll be hosting not just one, but two card stops for the 22nd Annual Spring Harbor Hop. That means you can easily spend some extra time here with us enjoying our lakeside hospitality. (Be sure our sister restaurant, Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina, is on your list of stops for the day too. You can even fill your boat up while you're there!) 

Once you're done hopping for the day, head on back to the Dog for the rest of the evening. You can take another dip in the pool and have some dinner before dancing the night away with DJ Dr. Cheese. Don't after-party too hard though, because Sunday is a day you'll want to be rested up for.

4th Annual Homegrown Festival

Beginning at 1 pm, we'll have a bunch of Missouri-based breweries, wineries, and distilleries set up all around the decks and pool area. A $10 tasting glass gets you samples of their Show-Me-State goodness, and proceeds benefit Kids Harbor. Then, from 2-6 pm our stage will be filled with some of Missouri's finest musicians.

Spring Harbor Hop AND the Homegrown Festival - All in 1 Weekend!

Dog Days Bar & Grill is your one-stop-shop for the most fun you can possibly pack into one weekend! Coming up very soon, we have not just one but two awesome Lake of the Ozarks annual events coming your way - the 22nd Annual Spring Harbor Hop AND our 4th Annual Homegrown Festival!

22nd Annual Spring Harbor Hop
Saturday, May 4, 2019
This is the largest Poker Hop on the water, with over 40 waterfront bars, restaurants, and marinas participating. Anyone can play. All you have to do is sign up at one of the participating stops listed at www.Funlake.com/HarborHop for an optional $20 donation per 7-card hand. From there, you travel from stop to stop picking up a card for your poker hand at each one. Once you have 7, you'll turn in your hand at that final stop. 

Our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & restaurant happens to have 2 card stops located on site, which is a good thing because once you arrive at the Dog, you're going to want to stick around for a while! We've got delicious food, refreshing drinks, and of course those awesome pools to chill out in! There's both a family-friendly pool and a second with a swim-up bar, so you don't even have to get out of the water to get a new drink! Later on Saturday night, we'll also have DJ Dr. Cheese playing all your favorite dance music to keep the fun going all night long!

4th Annual Homegrown Festival

This is the awesome festival Dog Days introduced to bring you some of the best of what the "Show-Me-State" has to offer! Missouri's finest wineries, breweries, distilleries, and musicians will be here all afternoon for you to check out. 

We'll have vendors set up around the decks and pool area offering samples of their delicious beverages beginning at 1 pm, and the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks will be going strong from 2-6 pm.

Healthy, Filling, & Delicious - Savory Salads at Dog Days!

It can be tough to eat healthy when dining out unless of course, you choose to dine out at Dog Days Bar & Grill! Our chefs have created quite a few healthy options for the extensive menu at our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & restaurant. You'll find seafood, Beach Bowls, and today's featured items, our savory salads.  

Not Your Average Salad
When our chefs make a salad, they are not just mindlessly throwing together some lettuce in a bowl with a crouton or two. Our fresh greens are accompanied by crisp vegetables, flavorful meats, and luscious fruits that pack a gigantic punch that will tickle your taste buds. The bold colors are even a feast for your eyes! 

Each ingredient is carefully selected to fill our salads with lots of vitamins, antioxidants, and all around good-for-you deliciousness! They are rich in fiber, which is great for boosting metabolism, improving digestion, and is helpful with weight loss. 

Lots of our salads are low in cholesterol, which is beneficial to heart health. The high amounts of potassium are wonderful for lowering blood pressure, and the antioxidants in the fruits and vegetables can protect against some cancers. All of the Vitamin C present in many of the salads is incredible for a good immune system too. 

Dog Days Salads
The many different ingredients in our salads offer many different health benefits but don't worry about which salad is best for you. We've tried very hard to put a nice mixture of everything into all of the amazing salads on our menu so every one is teaming with both goodness and flavor! 

All of our salads are served with garlic bread and your choice of dressings which include Buttermilk Ranch, Bleu Cheese, Honey Mustard, Italian, Sun-Dried Tomato Vinaigrette, Fat-Free Ranch, Raspberry Vinaigrette, 1000 Island, Asian Ginger Vinaigrette, and Balsamic Vinaigrette

Asian Tuna Salad
Grilled Ahi tuna, fresh baby greens, pickled beets, radishes, fresh mango, tri-color carrot nest, heirloom tomatoes, peppadew, and cucumbers. 

Cobb Salad
Crips baby greens, fresh avocado, heirloom tomatoes, red onions, bleu cheese, mozzarella, English cucumber, hardboiled eggs, crisp bacon, smoked turkey and ham. 

The Farmers Garden
Fresh greens, heirloom tomatoes, English cucumber, tri-color carrots, corn kernels, red onion, sweet peas, pickled beets, radishes, and garlic croutons.

Chicken Caesar Salad
Fresh Romaine lettuce tossed with parmesan cheese, house-made Caesar dressing, grilled chicken breast, and garlic croutons. 

Grilled Chicken Strawberry Spinach Salad
Baby spinach greens, candied pecans, sliced strawberries, cucumbers, fresh grilled chicken breast, garlic croutons, bleu cheese crumbles, and a raspberry vinaigrette.  

Something To Wash It Down
You'll need something to drink along with your meal. Water is always the healthiest choice, especially if you squeeze a lemon or lime in it for added Vitamin C. Unsweetened tea is another refreshing beverage. 

Sometimes it's hard to enjoy a lakeside meal without a cocktail to pair alongside it. In that case, there are a few drink choices that are light in calories and the addition of juices as mixers give you a boost of healthy nutrients. For example, the following to drinks are featured on our specialty Spring Cocktails menu.

Light Mango Breeze
Finlandia Mango Vodka mixed with Sprite Zero and splashes of cranberry and orange juices. 

Watermelon Limeade
Absolut Lime shaken with watermelon puree and zero-calorie sour mix makes a tart and refreshing drink. Perfect for a sunny day on the deck!
