Exciting New Event - DUELING DOGS August 5-7, 2016

The Canine Cannonball is one of our most popular Lake of the Ozarks annual events. That particular event has already taken place this year, but get ready, because Dog Days Bar & Grill is bringing you the latest and most exciting competition in Canine Aquatics Sports: Dueling Dogs! A thrilling, side by side, two lane, head to head competition. 

Exciting New Competition!

Friday through Sunday, August 5-7, 2016 we will be hosting this awesome new competition for the lake area. While the Canine Cannonball lets one dog at a time compete in a variety of different categories, Dueling Dogs puts two dogs side by side in a race to be the fastest. 

Teams consisting of one canine and one handler duel against another team by racing down a platform into a body of water. Once the dog hits the water, they must be the first to retrieve the object at the end of the pool. 

Join the Fun

Canines must be at least 6 months old, and handlers need to be at least 7 years old. You can sign your team up online at www.DuelingDogs.net to make sure that you claim a spot. You may also register at Dog Days Bar & Grill the morning of the events. Friday and Saturday registration and practice begin at 10 am, and on Sunday it starts at 9 am. On-site registration is on a first come, first served basis. 

Qualifying rounds will be held throughout the day all weekend long. The final qualifying rounds will start at 5 pm Friday & Saturday, and 2:30 pm on Sunday. Dueling Dogs Finals will take place at 4 pm on Sunday. Be sure to check the full Dueling Dogs schedule for more qualifying duel times. 

Dueling Dogs LLC is committed to provide a safe and competitive environment where handlers and their canine companions can compete head to head to determine who is both the fastest canine and the best handler with the fastest reaction time. Dog Days Burgers are the Best at the Lake

We are proud of every menu item that we turn out of our Dog Days Bar & Grill kitchen. The variety of choices is amazing, and the flavors are out of this world. Some of those choices include the best burgers at the Lake of the Ozarks. 

From what we consider our regular burgers (which are so much more than just "regular") to our Chef's Signature Burgers, including a couple of new items on our limited-time "Dog Days of Summer" menu, if you are a burger fan, we're willing to bet these will get you pretty excited.  



BURGERS
These are each served with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle on the side, and you can always upgrade to a pretzel, Cajun brioche, or wheat bun if you prefer.

Big Burger
An incredible certified Angus beef patty cooked medium well.

Brat Burger
We hand patty our house blend sausage, then sear it on the griddle.

Prime Burger
This is truly the finest beef burger at The Lake. We use only the best USDA prime beef in this one, cooked to your liking.

The Old FashionedTwo Angus beef patties cooked on the griddle, topped with american cheese and grilled onions.

Hickory BBQ Bacon
An Angus beef burger topped with Wobbly Boot's BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, and crisp bacon, served on a Kaiser bun.

Baja Burger
Our Angus beef patty topped with pepper jack cheese, fresh jalapenos, avocado, and a Cajun mayonnaise. 

Cheddar En Fuego
A half pound prime burger grilled to perfection and topped with cheddar jack cheese, candied pepper jam, bacon, and raspberry sauce on a warm pretzel bun.

San Francisco Melt
This certified Angus beef patty is served up west coast style on sourdough bread with thousand island dressing, cheddar jack cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and onion.

Black and Bleu Burger
Our certified Angus beef patty sprinkled with Cajun spice and cooked to perfection. We then top it with crumbled bleu cheese and crisp bacon, all on a Kaiser bun.

Bayou Burger
We take our house blend sausage patty, blacken it in a cast iron skillet, top it with pepper jack cheese, Cajun mustard sauce, and fried onion, then serve it on a spice dusted Brioche bun. 

The Cuban
Our house blend sausage patty topped with smoked ham, provolone cheese, sweet peppers, spicy brown mustard, and fried pickles on a toasted bun.

California Chicken Burger
Char-grilled and topped with lettuce, tomato, and avocado in a zesty west coast sauce on a cracked wheat bun. 

Comanche Bison Burger
An 8-ounce grilled buffalo burger topped with sauteed onions, bacon, and mushrooms on a garlic dusted Kaiser bun.

We throw a heaping helping of our awesome curly fries on the plate next to these awesome burgers, or you are welcome to substitute one of our signature side dishes for only $1 more. These incredible burgers are only a small sampling of the delicious creations you will find on our full Dog Days Bar & Grill menu.

The Best Bands are at AquaPalooza 2016

AquaPalooza at Dog Days Bar & Grill has become famous for being the most fun and largest 1-day boating event at the Lake of the Ozarks. Thousands of people from all over gather together to combine 2 of the best things that the lake area has to offer: boating and live music. 

You bring the boat (or join us by land if you prefer) and we'll bring the most talented entertainers to our lakeside stage from noon to 5:00 pm. These bands will keep you rocking all day long, and if you aren't ready to stop the party at 5, we'll have more incredible entertainment waiting for you on our regular stages after AquaPalooza too.

State Line Drive

This talented bunch of guys play country/pop music. The band is made up of two sets of brothers plus their bandmate, all from Missouri. When they realized the potential of their blended harmonies and mix of talents, State Line Drive was born. A few songs off of their album are "You Get Me," "Stay Green," and "Good Side of Crazy."

The Mixtapes

A premier 90's tribute band, the five talented performers that make up the Mixtapes each sings, allowing them to cover a large range of hits from the decade. You won't be able to keep yourself from dancing and singing along to their high-energy show featuring songs from The Cranberries, Nirvana, No Doubt, Beastie Boys, Radiohead, Spice Girls, Weezer, Rage Against the Machine, Beck, and lots more.

Seven Bridges Road

This incredible tribute band has set out to recall the legend that is "The Eagles." This group of men are all huge Eagles fans, and are proud to be able to bring this music not only to other fans, but also to a new generation. "Witchy Woman," "Hotel California," & "Desperado" are just the tip of the iceberg for their awesome song list. You can see a video about this talented tribute band on their Seven Bridges Road page. 

Members Only  

A Lake of the Ozarks favorite 80's tribute band, this group performs all of the greatest hits from one of the best decades. The show is high energy, loaded with fun, and sure to keep you dancing and singing throughout. Their goal is to synthesize every show into an epic party, and they have never disappointed our crowds. Enjoy all of your favorites Journey, Michael Jackson, Def Leppard, Prince, Bon Jovi, Guns N' Roses, and many more.

The music begins at noon on the waterfront stage, and these bands will keep going until 5:00 pm. You won't want to go home when they're done though. We'll keep the party going all night long on our indoor and outdoor Dog Days Bar & Grill stages.

Pearl will begin as soon as AquaPalooza ends, performing from 5 pm - 9 pm, with a wonderful mix of cover songs and their own originals. After that, Member's Only is back for an encore performance. They'll be rocking from 10 pm - 1 am.

The Awesome Party

AquaPalooza is a fun-filled day of dancing, singing, floating, eating, drinking and hanging out with the coolest people at the Lake of the Ozarks! By water, you can cruise over by boat or jet ski, tie up, and hop in the water with the rest of the crowd. By land, pile all of your buddies in the car and get here early for the best parking. (Or you can always skip the parking and call a cab!) 

Our boat slips for this incredible event have been booked up since last year. Once someone gets a spot, you know they'll be back year after year. If you aren't one of those lucky people, you can have your name put on the waiting list for next 2017. Call the restaurant  and leave your name, phone number, and the make/model/size of the boat you would like to reserve a slip for.

Independence Weekend Crab Boil

This weekend only, while supplies last, our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront restaurant will be boiling up the tastiest snow crab along with all the fixin's. We'll even provide lots of yummy garlic butter, the wet wipes for a thorough clean up afterwards, and even a bib to keep the clean up to a minimum. On Friday and Saturday, until it runs out, you can order:

Peach Habanero Baby Back Ribs
A half rack of smoked baby back ribs with our spicy peach habanero sauce, served with sweet potato fries. 

California Chicken Burger
Char-grilled and topped with lettuce, tomato, and avocado in a zesty west coast sauce on a cracked wheat bun. 

Comanche Bison Burger
An 8=oz. grilled buffalo burger topped with sauteed onions, bacon, and mushrooms on a garlic dusted Kaiser bun.

Firecracker Wings
These are not for the faint of heart. They will pop in your mouth with an explosion of heat and spices. Available in plates of 5, 10, or 20. 

Georgia Peach Salmon
Grilled salmon filet topped with a poached peach chutney, serve with roasted red pepper rice and sauteed summer squash. 

Peach Melba
Spiced poached peaches with vanilla ice cream and raspberry Melba sauce.

Peach whisky and Red Bull on the rocks.

Frozen Hurricane
Your choice of Southern Comfort or Cruzan Rum blended with Finest Call Hurricane Mix, including passion fruit puree, lime juice, and dark cherries for a full fruit punch flavor that will have you saying, "Laissez les bon temps rouler!"

Mellow Berries
Raspberry rum and Mellow Yellow topped with raspberry liquor. Be careful... this one will sneak up on you!

Captain Morgan & the Morganettes Are Coming to Dog Days!

This Friday, June 24, 2016 a very famous pirate will be bringing his adventurous spirit, along with some incredible rum, to Dog Days Bar & Grill. Captain Morgan will be invading our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront restaurant around 4:30 pm. You undoubtedly know who he is, and to meet the legendary captain in person is an event you do not want to miss!

Captain Morgan, along with his beautiful Morganettes, will take over the deck, but rather than pillaging, they will have treasure to give away to all of our cool customers. They will also be offering samples of the Captain's famous Caribbean Rum, plus the intensely delicious Cannon Blast. (#HashtagBOOM)

The legend and character of Captain Henry Morgan (yes, he was real!) is what this incredible rum company was built upon. He was a young 17th Century Welshman with big hopes, dreams, and ideas. His unconventional thinking and exceptional leadership changed the landscape of the Caribbean and the New World. 

In our opinion, Captain Henry Morgan was the most legendary pirate to ever sail the seas. He made his way to every port-of-call and was well-known for being undefeated in battle. The Captain's loyal crew were not the only people impressed with this amazing man. The unbelievable stories told of his adventures preceded him his entire life, and even earned him the titles of Sir Henry Morgan and Governor of Jamaica. 

Today, the Captain Morgan Rum Company carries on the adventurous spirit of this historical man. You shouldn't take life too seriously. Simply enjoy the adventure of living and take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way. As they say, "Go make fun where there's no fun to be had, in true pirate spirit." That's exactly what Dog Days Bar & Grill does every single day, and double-time on the weekends.  

Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum is the Original Party Spirit. It tastes amazing, and mixes well with everything. Their new Cannon Blast takes that amazing flavor to another level. It draws in sweet citrus notes coupled with hints of warm spice. One shot of it, and you'll never be quite the same.

Dog Days Features Amazing Signature Entrees

If you ask the locals where to find the best waterfront restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks, we're willing to bet the majority of them will send you straight to us! Dog Days Bar & Grill has a lot to offer our customers. 

The live music that graces our indoor and outdoor stages is packed full of talent all season long. Some of the best annual events at the Lake of the Ozarks happen next to the Dog Days Bar & Grill, like the upcoming AquaPalooza on July 16. You can rent a boat or jet ski right here from BomBay Boat Rental Company, and you won't find a more refreshing drink anywhere on the water. 

The thing that really keeps people coming back is the incredible food coming out of our Dog Days Bar & Grill kitchen. We are well known for our amazing Chef's Signature Burgers, Specialty Sandwiches, and or course, our awesome Late Night Menu on the weekends.

Signature Entrees Menu

If you have the time to sit and stay for a while, come in extra hungry and give our Signature Entrees a try. Each of the following dishes is served with a garden salad or mini Caesar salad and garlic toast (except the Stir Fry.) These meals are sure to fill you up and put a great big smile on your face. 

Crab Legs

Sweet, succulent snow crab boiled in our secret spices and served with drawn butter and lemon. Orders served by the pound. 

Baked Seafood Pasta

Sauteed bay scallops, shrimp, and crab meat start off this spicy Alfredo over cavatappi noodles. Then we top it off with Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese and bake it to a golden brown. 

12-ounce Ribeye Steak

Cooked to your liking and served alongside your choice of one of our side dishes. You can also add our delicious house topping of sauteed mushrooms, onions, and bacon.

Monterrey Mahi Mahi

Blackened Mahi filet topped with sauteed shrimp, scallops, crab, avocado, and a blend of melted cheeses. We serve it on a bed of red pepper rice and fresh pico de gallo. 

Chicken and Broccoli

our jumbo chicken breast grilled to perfection, served on top of our house made Italian broccoli and mushrooms. 

Chicken Stir Fry

Sauteed Chinese vegetables and grilled chicken tossed with a sweet teriyaki sauce on a bed or roasted red pepper rice, served with a crab rangoon. We can also make it with shrimp or steak. 

Any one of those delicious choices is sure to please even the pickiest of eaters. We aim to serve the best food at the Lake of the Ozarks, and we believe anyone that has eaten here will say we accomplish that goal. There's plenty of seating inside and outside by the water.
