This time of year, our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront restaurant & bar is one of many venues that close for the winter. That means we have fewer visitors in town during the winter, offering you a chance to enjoy all the lake area has to offer without the crowds.
There are still lots of places that are still open offering plenty of things to do to keep you entertained. For example, if you're looking for delicious food, our sister restaurant, Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Osage Beach, is open 7 days a week, year-round. You'll find quite a few gorgeous state parks to explore too.
Of course, if you prefer to relax on the couch with a fantastic lake view, then our waterfront vacation house at the Lake of the Ozarks is the perfect spot to do exactly that. It has the same amazing view that you get when you hang out at Dog Days Bar & Grill plus a dock to enjoy it from on days when it's not too cold to get outside.
The Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl
One weekend in February that you should expect to see a crowd when you go out is during the Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl, February 19-21, 2021. Due to concerns about the current pandemic, they're doing the Lake Pub Crawl a little different than usual this year.
What used to be just one day of revelry is now 3 entire days of fun! The annual event has been extended to last the entire weekend so everyone has more time to hit all the stops and won't all be crowded into the same venues at the same time. This year, you will download the official pub crawl app to keep track of your stops and if you complete at least 50% of the checkpoints, will be entered into a drawing for some amazing prizes! (Including gift certificates to Dog Days to use when we open back up!)

Weekend Away With the Gang
Let's face it, being cooped up in the house gets real old, real fast. Call up a few friends and convince them that a trip to the lake area is an excellent way to get out of the house they're used to and get into our luxurious, spacious, rental house!
Like we mentioned above, there are still plenty of places open to keep you entertained while you are in town. Of course, if you'd prefer to stay in, the Dog Days rental house is a wonderful place to be "stuck indoors" for a few days.
St. Patrick's Day
St. Patrick's Day Weekend is the time when the lake area begins waking up from its winter hibernation. It's an early kick-off to the new "summer" season.
This is usually the weekend that we open the doors to Dog Days Bar & Grill back up too. If you make plans to stay in our rental house mid to late March, you can even enjoy all of your favorite Dog Days menu items while you're here! The pool won't be open quite that early, but hey, it won't be long after that before you can enjoy it too!
The Vacation House
The Dog Days rental house has 4,500 square feet of lake-view luxury that can sleep up to 16 people. The two stories include 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, a full kitchen, and two decks that both run the length of the house.
It also comes with the use of a dock, perfect for swimming or lounging lakeside, and there is a 14'x38' covered boat slip available on the property. It even has all the comforts of home to keep you comfortable and entertained during your stay, including a washer and dryer, outdoor grill, internet access, and much more.

It's not too early to book your stay with us for next summer too. (But, it may be too late!) Quite a few dates in June and July 2021 have already been snatched up but they're not all gone quite yet.
