What's Happening at The Lake over Thanksgiving

Pack up the car, load up the kids and head to the Lake this Thanksgiving! There are a ton of things to do for everyone in the family.  Here is a hit list of things going on so you can prioritize...

• Need Retail Therapy?  One of the largest outlet malls in the state, Osage Premium Outlet, will have bargains galore - some stores opening up Thanksgiving afternoon.  Many of the specialty shops & boutiques around the area will also be having Black Friday deals that run through the weekend.
• West Side Light Parks are always a treat!  The Enchanted Village of Lights will light up the Laurie Faigrounds with the free drive through light park.  What a perfect way to get the Christmas spirit started!  Not far down the road you can also visit St. Patrick's Shrine Festival of Lights.
• Christmas Show at Main Show Street Music Hall is in full swing and begins at 7pm Friday and Saturday evening.
• Deck the Docks cruise is a great way to spend the evening as well. Board the Celebration Cruiser and take in beautiful displays from the water. This event benefits Dogwood Animal Shelter.

In between all the shopping and having fun -recharge your battery at the all new Wobbly Boots Roadhouse!  Enjoy your same award winning favorites in the new smoke free establishment.  It's not hard to find either because it is right next to the previous location on Osage Beach Parkway. This weekend is the 2013 Annual Fall Harbor Hop at Lake of the Ozarks!

Once again Dog Days Bar & Grill will be participating in the Annual Fall Harbor Hop and we're excited to see all our friends come out for some Lake of the Ozark Hopping!  This event is sponsored by the Lake of the Ozarks Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Marine Dealers Association and waterfront restaurants around the Lake area.

The Harbor Hop is an event where participants will "hop" from various restaurants and marinas to draw playing cards in order to build a winning hand that is eligible for prizes.  People that want to participate can donate $15 per seven-card hand.  You can start your hop anywhere and begin drawing your first card at any of the 40+ sponsoring restaurants and marinas.  For a complete list of restaurants and marinas to choose from, go to http://funlake.com/harborhop/

Prize Allocations are as follows:

1st Place - 10%
2nd Place - 9%
3rd Place - 8%
4th Place - 7% each
5th-10th Place - 5 % each
4 Worst Hands - 4% each
Random Drawing for 10 Hands - 2% each
(all ties will share the allocated percentage for the placing)

The Bonus - In addition to the regular prize winners, a section winner will be recognized.  To be eligible to be a section winner, a player must draw all seven cards within one of the four sections listed on www.funlake.com/harborhop/

The 14th Annual Bogeys & Beer Charity Golf Tournament

Come out and support the Bogeys & Beer Tournament on Tuesday October 8th to help us raise money for our very own Tori Walters.  Due to an unexpected and life threatening illness, Tori had to undergo brain surgery this summer.  This unexpected event caused Tori to incur large medical expenses and miss work for several weeks.  She needs our help and we want to see her get back on her feet!!  Here are the details!

The 2013 13th Annual Wing Ding Competition

It's time for the 13th Annual Lake of the Ozarks Wing Ding and our very own sister restaurant, Wobbly Boots Roadhouse, will be competing for the title of the BEST WINGS!!!  

The Wing Ding is a charitable event that benefits the United Cerebral Palsy Heartland through a local restaurant competition for the title of BEST WINGS!! Although the competition is very friendly, it is highly sought after by all the Lake Area chefs, so they bring only their very best to the competition!  This Thursday night from 5-7pm you can help support a great cause and have all-you-can-eat wings and 2 drinks for only $12.50 per person in advance (or $15 at the door)!!

Come out Thursday night and purchase your ticket to help raise money for the UCP AND enjoy all you can eat wings and 2 drinks.  Be sure to visit the Wobbly Boots booth and get some of the best wings at Lake of the Ozarks!!
